From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
I thought they played pretty well too. Certainly could have done a lot worse.
I was surprised the ball wasn't coming out faster. It did that first drive.
No receivers. They doubled Adams and that was all she wrote on offense. Lazard and Cobb were useless. Lewis fumbled. Deguara couldnt catch. Jones decided to juke a ghost. Rodgers fault though.
Your GODgers also decided to air it out on a pointless attempt when the game was on the line.
What else does he do there? They need a first down. It was like 15 yards. The play before Cobb showed how pathetic he is with a terrible route that nearly led to a turnover. Lazard is too slow to even make enough yards before a sack.
If he turns the ball over its basically a punt and wouldn't be a blocked punt returned.

You.. would.. methodically drive down the field, much like you did on your opening drive, to score the game winning score??
I'll have no trouble ignoring folks like the pathetic version of @lupedafiasco who is showing up tonight.
Aaron Rodgers is such a MOST VALUABLE PLAYER that he only needs superior weapons, a fantastic defence, superb STs, a dominant running game AND a wall of an Oline to give him a chance at a SB.
If any of the above fail, don't blame poor Aaron Rodgers! He's just a victim of poor team management. It's not like the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER OF THE ENTIRE LEAGUE is expected to carry an imperfect team or something...
So with that poor oline and bad receivers, his offense still outscored the other teams offense
Does he have to score double the other team offense? Triple? Quadruple?
It's not even about just one Rodgers heave anyway.
I had just a glimmer of hope after that first drive, and that second one before the fumble, that Rodgers actually was going to do it this time. That he truly was.
The rest of the game, Rodgers was locked on to one WR. Held the ball for ages. Didn't check down. Whole plan right out the window, again.

Yeah maybe you can do that if you don't get a penalty on first down and a terrible route on 2nd down.

With this supporting cast you take a TD however you can.

I can't think of a single incident where people would defend such a high powered offense, run by your MVP, on any team... arguing that 10pts should enough. ANY fanbase. In ANY situation.
Same old ignorant lazy take that has happened for a decade. Completely ignores the 1 thing that has been consistent. That might not have been the singular reason for the loss tonight, but is definitely was A reason.

... But here we are tonight.
When that is your world, that is your argument.

Well, last I checked he was able to take that TD.. playing like a methodical assassin. That was the only time he could.
It's not even about just one Rodgers heave anyway.

Rodgers went to lazard for one first down and lazard took the route too far upfield and nearly cost a first down. The pass to Cobb on last drive showed Cobb's skills - shocking route. Passed to Mercedes who fumbled.
He gave the ball primarily to Adams and Jones because the others aren't good enough. Plus not much time with that line.

It was 3rd and long - he needs to make a play.
To who? The only player worth a damn is Adams who it went to. When the game is on the line you go to the best player. He did.
Maybe if we had Tee Higgins or Michael Pittman... But we got Jordan Love instead,

The TE was open on 2nd down for 7 or 8 yards. But AR has no confidence in him (rightly so).
(okay got that out of the way on the front end so we can have a real convo now)
Painfully obvious the same thing that always happens, happened again...Adams ends up getting double teamed, the playoff defense has a good pass rush, the WRs not named Adams cant win 1v1 matchups fast enough and pass rush gets Rodgers jumpy.
Offense looks like trash.
No one can win a matchup quickly when the pass rush is quality. Not a one of them.
Its a problem. Some of us have pointed it out for a long time but it gets forgotten when you play 6 games against the vikings, bears, and lions.
Odell Beckham can win a 1v1 matchup quickly, i know that, just sayin..

14 points would've been enough.
Again: What the $%@# is the point of having an MVP if not pay him a crapload of money to overcome shortcomings caused by us paying him a crapload of money?
Y'all seem to want a HoF level QB, along with a team with zero weaknesses. Bad news for you: A team with zero holes is only possible if the QB is on a rookie contract. Deal with it.

No off is putting up points in that weather today. Packers management and coaching should know how important special teams would be in GB playoff games.

Sorry. If you draft a WR instead of Love you have what youre saying is so impossible to obtain.
No offense is putting up points in that weather? Holy hell is that a bad take. 14 points is too much to ask? Wow, the stretches are amazing!
Oh then 1 WR allows us to score more than 10, ha!
