So Kavon won't that 2nd to last rep, but that's about it. Didn't even look like he was trying that hard.

Yeah. I definitely think it's time to put to bed the whole "The team is moving toward bigger players on the OL and focusing less on athletic benchmarks" rhetoric some people have been trotting out.

Based on the old athletic benchmarks, as observed through years of player acquisition, the Packers preferred guys with
  • Height under 6'5 1/2"
  • 40-time lower than 5.20
  • broad jumps of at least 105
  • 10-yard splits below 1.80 or 1.75
  • 3-cones below 7.80 (Bakh and Bulaga were both 7.70 I think)
  • short shuttles below 4.80
Here's how the guys Gutey has drafted look--everyone who had workouts, that is (Myers, Hanson, Stepaniak did not have numbers; nor does Walker this year). Orange highlight on anyone who missed a metric.

So yeah, I think it's still a safe bet to use those numbers, given that Cole Madison was the literal first guy drafted, he washed out, and we haven't broken the rules much since (uh oh, Royce Newman)
