That's really not that bad.
17 and 18 were McCarthy's last days. 19, 20 and 21 we were 2-3. That's it.

The problem with Rodgers playing "generally well enough" is that he isn't being paid to play "well enough". He's being paid to play at MVP level, and in the playoffs especially for 5+ years, he hasn't done that. He's a good middle-ranking QB, on the decline, and that's not good enough for his contract.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑10 Jan 2023 18:09True, right? And yet, we wonder how much of those losses was on Aaron’s shoulders. I think the most common sense approach is that he generally played well enough and that the bigger problems were with other people. We’ve seen that for at least four years running. It’s so unexpected that we almost have to wonder if there’s a curse on the Packers. It’s literally uncanny how we could do so well for the regular season and then face a team that is a notch better than we are. And we still wonder why Aaron Jones fumbles, Rodgers throws poorly, the stout OLine becomes porous, or the D gives up the big plays. It IS more than Rodgers. Yet, Rodgers is a piece of that.
If somebody, anybody could figure how how to right this ship…
It is very simple. the Packers signed an insane contract and now they have few options. He is NOT going to retire. They CAN'T cut him. And no other team is going to trade for him and pay him that insane amount of money unless their primary goal is to sell tickets rather than win games.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑11 Jan 2023 04:40In 2022 Aaron Rodgers' threw 12 interceptions and had a QB rating of 91 on a 3rd place team in the relatively weak NFC North.
Would somebody please tell somebody why Rodgers should be our quarterback making $59M. Are you kidding me!
Yup, and people's green and gold glasses prevented them from seeing it until now, even though it was painfully obvious in the playoff loss a year ago. It is not just that he is on the decline it is that he is too arrogant to adapt to physical decline. Many athletes understand what they can no longer do, so they clean up little problems that were formerly covered up by physical strength and speed and they get smarter - but Rodgers is too arrogant and maybe to complacent to do that. And so the decline is going to accelerate faster than it did for a more dedicated QB such as Brady. What we saw this season was a middle ranking QB. What we will see before he finally plays out his contract and nobody wants him even as Jim McMahon 2.0 is less than many backups.dsr wrote: ↑11 Jan 2023 04:20The problem with Rodgers playing "generally well enough" is that he isn't being paid to play "well enough". So does LaFleur and Gutenbumst.
...and the water boy, the trainer, the groundskeeper, and a bunch of others. What's your point? Most of the folks hammering AR point to the contract(s), feeling that he's being paid enough to overcome less efficient people at other positions.
crying about the money should have taken place in 2018 when Murphy gave him a huge increase, when he still had 2 years left on the old contract, there where actually members here that embraced that deal since it made Rodgers the most expensive nfl player, there possibly the same people whining about the money now.Half Empty wrote: ↑11 Jan 2023 08:36...and the water boy, the trainer, the groundskeeper, and a bunch of others. Yes, we are all on drugs. Join us Yoop. We have things to smoke, eat, inject, and huff. I think that one guy over in the corner there even has some krokodil.Yoop wrote: ↑11 Jan 2023 08:48crying about the money should have taken place in 2018 when Murphy gave him a huge increase, when he still had 2 years left on the old contract, there where actually members here that embraced that deal since it made Rodgers the most expensive nfl player, there possibly the same people whining about the money now.
He was bumped up with a new contract again last year because he was making a fuss as he probably did prior to that 018 extension, no one Dumps a QB like Rodgers when the team has a window close to closing on as much talent as is on this team the last 3 years, plus we just ran a span of 3 13-3 seasons, seriously find me another GM that wouldn't have done the same.

What he never said is what he thinks Rodgers is worth in a trade.
where would Love go? he has shown nothing for anyone to trade for him, Love is at the mercy of whatever our FO decides to do.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑11 Jan 2023 15:02What he never said is what he thinks Rodgers is worth in a trade.
He also barely mentioned Jordan Love. Assuming that Love is not the starter, there is no way Jordan signs another contract with GB . To pick up Jordan's 5th year is 20 million and the Packers simply do not have that kind of cap if Rodgers is on the team. So that leaves the question of what the Packers can get for Jordan Love in a trade because after the next season Love is gone and all they get is a comp pick.
people that grade drops have to keep it as basic as possible, which means it has to be a perfect pass, the ball has to hit both hands, even so I saw three of those Sunday, and a few more that where catchable that weren't, nice trygo pak go wrote: ↑11 Jan 2023 13:52go pak go: I bet there were 9 dropped passes in that quarter of football.Crazylegs Starks wrote: ↑11 Jan 2023 12:58Yes, we are all on drugs. go pak go: PFR says only 2 drops the whole game!
My nose is definitely crinkled.
Doubs had two drops all by himself Sunday, one on the side lines and one on a slant, that ball was knee high and he got both hands on the ball, should have made the catch on both passes.
