Damn it. I figured Pickens would be on the move once the Steelers acquired Metcalf. I was intrigued with bringing him to GB before the draft. Would still entertain it.

Dallas is funny because they're not good and refusing to rebuild.

I would have had interest in Pickens before the draft, for the right price (like a mid-rounder).

After coming away with 2 WRs in the first two days of the draft, not so much.

He puts asses in the seats, though, right? I totally agree with your point.

Pickens is in a contract year so I wonder if they plan to extend him or this is a rental. As a rental, the trade comp should be pretty low. Also, given that they're paying CeeDee, Dak, and Parsons, I dunno if WR is the place they want to spend more money. And knowing what kind of effort/attitude you'll get out of an enigmatic figure like Pickens after a payday is always a gamble.

He's gotta love having Dak throw to him instead of whatever Pittsburgh trots out. And my dynasty team might like that, too. But he's still second fiddle to a legit target monster.

Parsons is not a done deal, yet. I wonder if they will actually get that done. They are dumb enough to screw it up.

Can't believe the Steelers would waste Aaron's prime like that!

two of our 3 best QB's in franchise history are dirt bags, and no one likes them much :rotf:

Always best to separate the player from the personality. I love what both Favre and Rodgers did for the Green Bay Packers, will proudly wear their jerseys and cheer for their returns to Lambeau. I also think that they are both &%$@ humans. But why should that matter to me. I love the Packers for their football, and those two aren't the only &%$@ humans to wear a Packers jersey.

I don't think Rodgers is a bad human being. He is a massive diva and has views that lots of people detest (I personally do not care/object). Yet he has not done anything to really hurt anyone, that I am aware. Cutting off his family is the one thing that maybe qualifies, but that is private life stuff, not public concern. My ire is purely football-related. And also hate for his fangirls.

I for sure think he's narcissistic and passive aggressive in a toxic way. So maybe not a "bad" person in the way Favre is, but I also don't get the feeling like Aaron is a really great guy.

Again, I don't care, but just my observations.

Yeah Brett Favre is a sh*tty human being.

I don't think Aaron Rodgers is a sh*tty human being. I think he is a weird human being but not sh*tty. But I also don't think he is a championship killer GOAT like Tom Brady.

Basically Rodgers in my football eyes is simliar to Peyton Manning for the exception that Manning got lucky one more time than Rodgers did.

There is also speculation of the Steelers trading for Romeo Doubs as he is Rodgers approved.

exactly, but look at all the flak I got for defending Rodgers the QB, I always thought he was a egocentric me first guy, same with Favre, but when it came to the game, both were as good as any we've had.

oh please spare me your BS Labrev, Rodgers was to blame according to you for every loss, my hate is for people who refuse to understand the complexities that go with the position, and the pressure that goes with it, along with trash at WR that was a part of this team since 2015, not to even mention the lousey defenses and ST's that tagged along and made the offenses job much more difficult. :thwap:

Yes, and his play/fault in games is a purely football-related criticism. (And no, Rodgers was not to blame for "every loss"<sic> according to me).

We all understand that there are complexities that go with the position, you failed to persuade with your specific excuses. COPE!

Man, I just can't live in the past enough to debate Aaron Rodgers like this. He's been gone for years now. He's not relevant to my life. I dunno how you guys do it. We got names from pre-pandemic teams coming up in threads all over the place. Must be far enough post-draft that we're drifting into offseason nothingness.

his play in games was second to maybe Bart Starr, Rodgers was the best QB we've had in my lifetime, and there's no explanation needed for fans not hell bent on hate.

again you troll people here to comment, with I hate fangirls, most fans are in my circle on this one, they just don't comment, I need to follow there lead rather than let some one like you get my goat
