The helmet should be banned. It probably is the cause if the head injuries. There is evidence that playing without them is safer.

wha????
there is substantial evidence that person who jump out of perfectly good airo plane minus parachute reach concrete faster then jumper with Parachute, however could possibly break 117 bones in the process
I have no factual evidence supporting 117 broken bones, could be 118, however it makes the story sound better
how about banning jock straps? after all it is a BALL game, seems strange that we would only use one ball at a time and secure all other BALL's.
obviously Thursday 8 pm Eastern can't get her quick enough, save our sanity, and talking about the colors of our uniforms

Ha! Yoop might think it's crazy, but it has been a theory for many years that helmets cause players to lead with their heads when they shouldn't.

Yeah, players use it as a weapon and it causes head trauma.

Quite misleading just throwing in LVN.
And Jets had a different late round pick I believe as well.

Yeah, there's a better, more complete one I saw later that shows that the Jets got McDonald to our LVN and traded the late rounder for two picks that turned into players I haven't heard of; and that the Evan Williams part of it is a pick that was compensation used to trade up for him, not the pick itself.

Makes sense why there wasn’t urgency to take an edge then. That’s actually great news. Being 4 deep at edge and 5 and DT to start the season is huge.

So do they not know? Not too difficult to figure out.

Sounds like they do know that it was not an ACL tear.

Yup. BG said they are hoping to avoid surgery but because there was no surgery....they can't confirm it is the ACL.
Hopefully good news. But also could waste an entire year if they can't figure out what it is and be "tweaks" something in August that makes this whole thing reveal what it actually is.

Seems like they need a better MRI machine. Heck, ultrasound should be enough. This type of thing isn't hard.

I'm guessing Dr. Pat McKenzie and his group knows more about this than you. Not every injury is black and white and it sounds like this one is a bit more on the complex side. Also the Packers are very much keeping everything close to the chest because they don't need to expound.
All we know is it an issue with the knee. Possibly the ACL but not necessarily a tear but they don't know if the treatment will eventually need surgery or not. Hopeful it won't.
