Sorry. The Vikings stopped playing the Packers and started playing the clock in the 2nd half. The score was close but that was an absolute ass whooping. The team sucked today. I thought LaFleur called a good game but the players on the field didn’t execute.

Defensively though like I’ve been saying all season they have the wrong players starting at multiple positions.
I think there is some truth to this.

This is just the step before taking them out of the game completely. Make it so pointless and boring nobody is going to remember or care when they just eliminate it. that's what this is.

Every year it's less and less about confrontation and the game of football and more and more about gambling. On less wildcard in the game the better. What a loss for fans and the game though, the anticipation turned into just apathetic motions.
I was just thinking I wasn't that upset until reading this. Now I want to jump off a cliff. LMAO. :rotf: JK. Your post actually cracked me up. It just sounded so depressing it was funny
That's how I feel about the kickoffs. It went from, I hate they do commercial, don't want to miss the kick, then back to commercial before starting a drive. But man, you wanted to see the kicks, least 25 years ago we did. Stuff happened, games were flipped. not always, but you always had a shot and a better than Lloyd Christmas chance too. Today? we're a couple weeks in and I"m like, why are are we even lining up to kick anymore?
When you consider the league took away any chance for another Devin Hester type player to add to the excitement of a game, it kinda pisses me off. Corderelle Patterson, too, for a modern version.

Kickoffs aren’t even relevant any more and it’s annoying the league still hides behind the safety excuse to further ruin the game.

I think there was a bit of this but I also have to acknowledge the fight in this team. It wasn’t all “give” by the Vikings.

If we had a competent kicker we win that one. The problem for us is who is available.

Check here: https://www.packers.com/video/radio-network

I don't remember if the rule changes allow stations to stream it online or not, though.

Hmm. Kind of a head-scratcher today. We sucked at the LOS on both sides of the ball in the first half. At week 4, the Vikes are clearly the better team. And that's on offense AND defense.

Notes:
1. Love showed how he favored the knee. Obviously. Did that play a role in some of his bad passes?
2. Wicks. This guy has had a very rough start to the year. At least he started making more plays in the second half. Are things looking up for him? He really needs to step up, especially if Watson misses any time.
3. What? Watson hurt?
4. Our OLine did not hold up. Was that more about Love not rotating blocking against the defense? (Have to give Flores credit for his scheme. He has the NFL baffled right now. He will keep it up until somebody figures it out and makes him pay for his risks.)
5. Penalties are still a factor. At least Rasheed didn't have any holding calls today.
6. Why aren't we seeing any passing game to our RBs? This is the one thing we lost the most with releasing Jones. Yeah, we can do okay. But I miss that part of our game. Maybe later in the year?
7. Two missed figgies? Keep looking for another kicker. Sick!

Based on last years late season performance in Minny, I don’t think it’s unrealistic to expect this offense to put up another 30 pts on them. If they do, I don’t think Darnold and Co. have it in them to match.
Not quite 30, but close.

Congrats to your team. They earned a win on enemy turf. it may be tougher for you next time if Love is not so rusty and does not play like crap for almost 3/4 of the game. And if Alexander is healthy.

Enjoy the win.

It's a long season. The healthier team won this round. See you guys again in December when hopefully it's a more even playing field.

I've never actually done it but I have to think watching a game while listening to these two would be one of the most annoying things ever.

Has anybody here sat through one of their gameday broadcasts?

He did to start the game, after taking a few hits on it he seemed to feel more confident on it, course by that time it was 28 zipe, that took us out of our game plan, which I expect was to set up our run schemes and get that working, but when your that far behind your tempted to pass more, problem is our OL could not protect or give Love time in the pocket and he forced some throws, and never really looked settled in.

everything, Love, Lafleur and certainly our defense depend on fast starts and a lead to do well.

defensively to do that against a quality passing team ya need all 3 starting CB's, we obviously missed Alexander and Valentine in that first quarter as well as the rest of this game too.

Hopefully there back next week, and Love has knocked the rust off.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see or listen to the game. So any comments about the game from me would be speculation. But, 5 turnovers? I give the Packers credit for making it as close as they did.

I think Cheesehead TV had a pretty perfect post-game headline "The Vikings and the Packers beat the Packers"...

It was a comedy of errors by the Packers for the entire first half, then the Vikes almost bungled it starting with a stupidly muffed punt near end of the first half. Still, deserved win for MIN. Especially your Oline held together way better than I expected.

You missed a bizarre game. MLF got flagged for a personal foul (not legitimately). There were a ridiculous number of catches reviewed. The announcers could never seem to figure out the refs. And we got to see a rare drop-kick.

Someone call Hafley, and tell him to put the defensive scheme from the first Love interception into his playbook pronto.

I've probably never seen an ILB play this scheme like this. Packers correctly expect cover-2, and send Musgrave to carry the ILB up the seam, which SHOULD open up the deep crosser by Watson. A common 2-deep -beater.

The genius move by the Vikes' D is to have the ILB start running with Musgrave but actually look at Watson, drop Musgrave mid-route (leaving it to the deep safety), and go undercut the crosser. Worked to perfection. Love clearly didn't expect the ILB to do this big-brain move, and probably couldn't see him since he was initially lined up at other side of LoS .
