I definitely can't fault the second pick. It looks like it would have been a nice gain to Doubs if Musgrave hadn't tipped it.

I'm at the point that the 2024 Packers are meeting the expectations that I had for them at the end of September. They haven't gotten there entirely the way that I thought. But they are there. And since Love got hurt, I'm actually thrilled that we are 2-2 at this point. (Again, not the way I would've imagined.)

The month of October, I hope, is one that our offense becomes more synced. Fewer penalties. More second level blocking by the OLine. More sync between Love and receivers. Hopefully, Wicks finds his hands because they will clearly feed him, Reed, and Kraft the ball. Get better in the Red Zone. And the defense should hopefully fit its scheme better too. The DBs overall play better, pass rush starts to get home with 4, blitzes become more effective.

We have shown that we SHOULD win games when we don't play our best, even against good teams. But winning is a learned skill. Need to learn it every year. I hope we learn it sooner than later. There's too much competition in the NFC this year to try a late season miracle push into a playoff spot.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

I mean there were several issues with this play that were all Loves fault.

First, he didn’t ID the blitz and set the protection right at the line because they didn’t pick it up at all. That’s tough because sometimes you just can’t tell. Second, if you have to throw it out of there hot you need to know your route spacing. Musgrave had every reason to believe it was thrown to him because… well it was thrown directly at him just super high. If Love is throwing the ball hot like he did you just gotta take the underneath one to avoid that type of confusion. He’s getting paid like a vet now. He needs to perform like it.

I'm looking for a video of McKinny's interception from another angle, I saw something that questions how he was down before the ball was out of bounds. I'm sure the NFL doesn't want that out there. After all, they are taking so much heat for BS calls, and non-calls this season.

I, along with others in the game thread, though that INT woulda been wiped out. I thought he was down before having full control. :idn:

Yeah that interception should have been overturned. The refs really were inconsistent on the catch replays yesterday. They called the McKinney INT to stand but then overturned the Wicks catch where it appeared his hand was clearly under the ball on a 3rd down throw.

Did everyone forget the first lions game last year. 27-3 at half. Then thanksgiving came and we freaking curb stomped that team

Vikings are hot right now. Hat tip. What a &%$@ half for green Bay. Everything that could have went bad did self-inflicted crap happened It all went downhill.

After half it didn't look much better and then this team started playing. There was a heartbeat they didn't give up and anyone that says the Vikings took the foot off the gas is wrong to. Green Bay adjust and played better and STILL screwed themselves. Wicks needs to catch that touchdown and Jordan love got comfortable but played hero Ball.

Do you need to get better especially edge. Gary has been a ghost. You paid him to hunt

This offense is ready to start scoring 30 plus every week

The d has flashed and takes the ball away

Nobody want a super bowl September

I feel bad for the rams.

I said it was going to be overturned, went and grabbed something from the kitchen, came back and we had the ball, I was like huh, I must've missed something.

But overall, that game was never as far apart as 28-0 seemed and we weren't as close as the final score was either IMO. We had good moments. We did somethings well. We had a lot go against us. We had some go for us. We committed a lot of stupid errors. They forced us into some errors.

Sure I would have liked to have won and I'll never feel bad for winning some like that, but I do feel a little dirty for it. They beat us and though we helped them do it at times, they still beat us.

Let's play count the mistakes:

1. Jacobs doesn't recognize the blitz, so doesn't go pick it up
2. Doubs ran bad/wrong route (was supposed to go more vertical), leading to 2 receivers on same line
3. Love still tried throwing it to Doubs instead of taking the safer short throw
4. Musgrave whiffs on the ball, redirecting it
5. Doubs doesn't catch the difficult deflected ball

End result:

Wicks for six - somebody blew the coverage. Packers weren’t the only team out there with poor pass coverage.
The moment before the catch.

I didn't follow along in the GDT at the end of the game but can I say how much I despised the decision to send Kesean Nixon out for that last punt return? They got burned doing that once last season. He's either the punt returner or he's not. Absolute stupidity by the coaching staff on that one as far as I am concerned.

I’m wondering if they don’t want to risk Reed there anymore. Especially with Watson down. You don’t want to lose Reed as well.
