With Kenny Clark just entering the prime of his career and Z and Preston already there.
Last year they were on the verge of a special pass rush. They rode that to the NFCCG more than anything else. That rush takes another step and its going to be remembered with the all time greats.

It won’t be remembered for anything if they don’t stop the run.
I don't think that is true and definitely not to the degree to which you are suggesting. The sack numbers went down, but he still played well and specifically in the Divisional Playoff Game.
67 cumulatives if memory serves, so his production didn't drop much, people only notice sacks, however when compared to pressures, sacks really don't tell ya the true effectiveness of a rusher, pressure often lead to sacks for someone else.
it's the same with all stats, stats often don't paint a clear picture of how they where produced, if a receiver has 6 catches from 6 throws, well we get a inkling he is Sterling Sharpe incarnate, then we find out the DB feel down on every throw, course the stats wont point out that discrepency in the recording of them, same with the pressures.

too many snaps for both of the Smiths...they both were around 880, the goal is about 650 - 700 each for the season
Packers offense needs to do better on 3rd down and GB needs Gary, Williams, Roberts and/ or others to play more OLB snaps in 2020

However, limiting Kenny Clark's snaps is a whole other story.
The interesting thing to me is that both Pettine and DL coach Montgomery preach about rotation and keeping the Big Guys fresh- but it hasn't happened as much as I would have hoped and that's probably a personnel issue. Still hoping to add another DL to the mix

Yeah. Every year I crave a DLinemen early. And every year outside of 2016 we don't get a Dlineman early.
I didn't really hear of Montravious Adams when we got him but I was stoked about the position. Problem is it is hard to hit on Dlineman. At least for us it seems anyway.
But we just have no personnel to spell Clark. There was a glimmer of hope Lancaster could be that guy in the offseason last year, but last season showed he is nowwhere near to that level.
We have been hearing a lot from Keke in Tweets. Hopefully he provides us a number of quality snaps this year.

He was worth a shot
Its really hard to find decent DL later in the draft and unfortunately, I think Montravius' time in GB is over. Last year, GB needed somebody/ anybody to play DL snaps and help the rotation- but Adams still only got 189 snaps all year. That's telling. I've read he gets blown out on double teams and as soon as he goes in the game - opponents target him. Hard to believe Adams has improved much in this truncated offseason, so I guess Keke is up next. Here he is at TC # 96. Check out the arm length, he's 92nd percentile for wingspan.

Great video from Nagler and Herman of a recap over camp. Highly recommend. I think Andy Herman is the best "analyst" in GB for TC the past two years.

I enjoyed this video, thanks! I listened to Herman's podcast yesterday so some was a bit redundant.
My big gripe is the Love conversation--not what they're saying, but the fact that literally no one in the Packers media is telling it like it is--"Jordan Love doesn't matter this year. Like at all. Stop looking for daily or frequent updates on him [fans], and we [media] are not going to keep providing them. He's literally not relevant until OTAs next year."
They said the right things about the expectations, but a developmental player being developed is not news unless he's gonna have to play.

For those who want to actually see and not "I remember knowing Aaron Rodgers would be good right when I saw him"...this is the best and most complete media coverage I have found of Rodgers.
The problem with preseason is there is no stats to be found and coverage of Rodgers was pretty limited.
But overall, you can see based on who he is playing (like Driver, Green, Henderson) and the time of the game he is playing, Rodgers actually played with starters a lot in 2005.
And he wasn't good. In 4 games, he had one TD drive.
He looked skitish, excited, and feet happy. His ball location when in the pocket was still college carry over and his accuracy was bad. I think it's important to see who this guy was and who he developed into by 2007 and beyond. It is important to see that players, believe it or not, can get better with age and time in the NFL and that is exactly what Love is afforded to do.

Yeah, that is ugly. You can actually see the progression of his ball carriage, though. The first couple clips from the opener look exactly like his college film with the ball by the ear hole of the helmet. Gradually, it comes down to more of shoulder height by the last game. Still looks no where near how he holds the ball today.

Yeah, and I didn't care at all about it then, either.
I get that these types of moves are big offseason storylines. But as we approach the actual season, I don't understand why there's any point in focusing on things that won't affect this season.

Oh I disagree about that. I won't care about Love in September but I do care about Love in August because this is the only time of year I will actually get to see or get an idea of where he is at. He is a young Packer and August is for young players. It sucks we don't have preseason but I cared about Tim Boyle 3 years ago even though he had zero impact on the 2018 Packers because he was 3rd string.
So I don't mind the summary of his camp. I liked it. But I won't want to hear anything about it further outside of maybe a quick write up in the offseason of coaches saying they saw good progress in practice. And I also don't care if he "disappointed" because that is completely meaningless at this point.
I also don't think Guty's reputation rides on this pick at all. Like at all.
Is anyone meaning to tell me that a Jordan Love bust 3 years from now is more "weighted" than a Darnell Savage bust? If anything I look at a Savage pick as having higher weight the first four years because Sage is actually PLAYING and has an impact if we win or lose.
I also get tired of the huge expectations that are placed on rookies in general.

I remember thinking his 2nd year that he actually looked pretty good, he was doing well with ball placement and he didn't have happy feet. But.... that year the 2nd string receivers couldn't catch a cold, so his production and offensive efficiency was just horrid. Turd Ferguson let him down. But to me at least, that's when I started to see it, but it wasn't until his 3rd year that consensus started moving; year 2 he was, in the eyes of most, a horrid bust.

I will care about his August next year, when he is likely to be the back-up QB for the season and will be in his crucial second year in MLF's system and should be mastering the basics by then. I just don't care at all, even a little, about how Love looks this offseason. It is the least relevant thing to the Packers upcoming season that is happening on the football field. I care more about how Malik Turner and Malik Taylor are doing than I do about how Jordan Love is doing. If we didn't have our backup set, then fine. If it wasn't a season in which nearly everyone is going to keep 3 QBs? Then maybe. But honestly, I care as much about what Love is doing in training camp as I do about what Simon Stepaniak is doing this offseason.... learning the mental stuff while he preps for a redshirt.

Yeah, he definitely looked better his 2nd preseason, but then there was that blow-out loss against NE where he came in for Favre and looked terrible. Didn't he injure his foot that game, too? I seem to recall Nall was the #2 for the rest of that season. Anyway, I think for most people, at Dallas 2007 was A-Rod's first real "this guy can be good" moment.
