Eagles D so nasty up front. Dang. Legit jealous.
We have a bunch of talent over there ourselves. Hopefully we put it together.

Bad news: my predictions for hooker did not come true.
Good news: he will be a packer by this time tomorrow

Gutekunst said the phones were very very quiet compared to a usual draft.
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."

Lions draft getting shelled.

Mayer or Hyatt would be nice in the 2nd.
I think most would have wanted to trade down in this draft but you really only get that opportunity when someone calls wanting to go up not vice versa.
yep Carter and Your guy Smith, what a haul, that Masi kid you like also went round 1YoHoChecko wrote: ↑27 Apr 2023 22:58Eagles D so nasty up front. Dang. Legit jealous.

we need a TE, OL, WR, maybe safety/CB hybrid,
I was surprised Kincaid lasted till the Bills, I would have liked to pair him up with Watson, two big receivers could really dominate the short zones.
I know you like to let the draft fall to you, but will the better TE prospects be around, or a receiver, I'am not against trading up some to get another receiver, actually I'd like to get Meyer, but it might be costly.

A we entered the draft with 6 pretty clear needs
TE, S, WR, OL, DT, EDGE,
In round one we took the third of six edge players
One TE went
Zero Ss went
5 OL went
3 DTs went
4 WRs went
We will likely have 2 round two players at need positions that will rank higher within their position group in this draft. And we drafted arguably the most premiere position on our needs list.
Didn’t love the value of the choices last year even if the players are talented. This year, I think the board is setting up nicely for us.

Bless him for all the posts he makes on the draft and giving us stuff to read, but Yoho is off on Mingo.
Hyatt can be a difference maker. I also still think Mayer is the best TE in the draft so would be great to get him.

JSN dropped all the way to #20. I guess league GM's agreed with me that he was not worthy of #13. We can talk about this a year from now but I am just glad that the Packers took anyone but JSN. It is great to wake up this morning and discover that the Packers did not waste #13 on a slot receiver without a 5th gear.
LVN surprised me but being only 21 and having that kind of size and power and speed makes this pick a reasonable one. It is definitely a position of need because Smith will be done in a year or 2 and Gary will likely not be 100% until next year.

13 was a strange spot this year because instead of like one premium guy left, there was like 4 guys who would have been acceptable to take. That tanks the trade back value. You knew the value was low when the eagles just gave a 2024 4th to jump to 9.

Just don’t pretend there is a large group of people bashing the pick and don’t call that imaginary large group insane for being “mad” and you’ll be fine.

The Eagles traded up one spot, from 10 to 9, and the value in picks they gave Chicago was consistent with the traditional trade value chart and other trades consummated throughout the night.
The value narrative you're attempting to set does not exist.
