8 drops by definition, but there were three where I hated the throw:

1. The one to Tonyan which was correctly put inside, but too far inside, like 2ft too far. Still, Tonyan should probably have been able to get that one.
2. The very low throw to Doubs when there was no need, which Rodgers bitched him out for. Not cool, Aaron.
3. The late one to Amari. He dove, fully extended, and the pass just hit his fingertips.

The other 5 were just god-awful drops. The first one by Lazard and the two attempted screens to Doubs stand out as the worst.

Rodgers may have thought Tonyan would stop with that DB barreling down

the very low throw to Doubs is a tad low, but higher may have given one of the 2 DB's right on top of Doubs a chance at a pick

the one to Amari is a great example of Rodgers not knowing how much to lead these receivers, again a good reason to play the vets some in the PS.

I counted 4 drops that ended drives, anyone of those caught could have led to a win, yes Rodgers doesn't look like Rodge the dodge this year, I just don't think thats all his fault though.

Can we get off that line of thinking?

They were on receivers as well except Amari, which I think was more to do with reps.

Doubs should've caught that ball. It's a typical throw in that situation across the league and is always low. He had defenders on him and you never know if there is a lb floating.

That low throw to Doubs led him right into the LB. It's not a typical throw. There is no reason that throw should have been low. Put it on this numbers, he might catch it. It was an inaccurate throw that he still should have caught.

Wrong is was a standard throw and is put away from defenders

Doubs just has hands of butter

Incorrect. It was a needlessly low throw that out him in the path of the LB.

Doubs needs to have better hands.

Rodgers threw it where no one but Doubs could catch it, he did the same with Tonyan, those are not inaccurate throws, it's Rodgers not liking to throw in traffic to receivers he's not sure of, with Lazard we see pin point accuracy on the numbers because he trust Lazard more,
against the Jets and Giants people bitched because he wasn't hooking up on the deep stuff, so yesterday we only threw I think twice over 20 yrds, yet we get 5 obvious drops and 3 that are debatable, one over 20 yrds, most of the deep drops are because Rodgers throws to a spot and the receivers for whatever reason don't arrive at the catch point, yesterday they drop passes a HS kid could catch short, so why are we blaming Rodgers again?? I can't remember :idn:

No reason the ball needs to be shoelace high and to his right. It was an inaccurate throw that Doubs still should have caught.

Again, this is the MAJOR issue here. These conversations are going to continue to be circular because there is a small cadre that believes the QB is playing great or just fine and is not to blame for any or most of the issues the offense is having. There is NO ONE on this board that believes the current stable of receivers is good enough. When anyone comes out and says that Rodgers needs to play better, the red herring is thrown out there: RECEIVERS! It can be both and it is both.

On an intellectual level, I do not believe it is "all"<sic> Rodgers's fault
Spoiler
But on a spiritual level, I do. 8-) :aok:

At least you now admit the current stable of recievers suck. Progress.

I've never said they were good... I said before the season they were around bottom 5. With the injuries, they are probably dead last.

We'd have to pay someone to take Savage.
Serious question: is Rudy Ford better than Savage right now? It seems shockingly close.
Rudy from the movie Rudy is better then Savage. Well that may be a stretch. Nevermind.

Nope. It might have seemed like it to someone so overly prone to hyperbole, but I have always called him a 2 at best.

There is enough talent at WR to run a competent offense. Them, coupled with a running game that is leaned on and a QB who plays within himself and up to his ability ( and pay scale) and they'd be sufficient. No, they won't break any scoring records but they'd be good enough.

The brain trust can't manage that, though. And by brain trust, I am referring to LeFluer, Stenovich, and yes Rodgers. None of them are performing to the standard with which they need to.

I don't expect Doubs to carry this team. I expect the brain trust to devise a plan that leans on players/positions of talent while managing the weaker links of the offense. LeFluer/Stenovich/Rodgers throwing it on 35 of 47 offensive plays is just plain stupid and works completely against the talent on this roster.
