I agree that we seem to be using a lot of deep routes again but maybe that is so he can check down to Jones & Dillon more to keep the ball in their hands? I'm was hoping MLF was going to be real run happy this game. Just pound the ball, even if you had a couple of 3 and outs. Wanted to see our RBs get 10-15 carries in the 1st half.
OK, but is that the type offense we want to be again? a stretch vertical with RB check downs? I sure hope not, last year Rodgers was getting rid of the ball in 2.5 seconds, one of the quickest in the league, instead of RB check downs there where designed pass plays to them, instead of go routes, most passes where mid depth, what we did last year worked well, why would we change that approach.
I'm not suggesting they do this every game. I was hoping they would start out this game run heavy. Especially knowing that Zadarius likes to over commit and push upfield and not having our preferred OL.

Yeah. This play would have gotten easily in the RZ and maybe even EZ depending on how Rodgers got the ball to between Watkins and Cobb.

That was one was incredibly frustrating.

This is good stuff here. Start it at about 8:40 and the rest of the video is Darius Butler breaking down how the Vikings destroyed our scheme. Couple dings on savage, a ding on simpleton coverage, a ding on Jaire Ñot running with Jefferson when he should have. It’s informative.

Dont care about bukkakski comments because I think he’s a dummy...but just the actual quote from Lafleur...it’s like ?????

If that’s the reason why you wouldn’t have them both out there then maybe put a third back on the 53?? Seems like an easy decision to me.

I mean, is it more likely both would get hurt on 1 play vs 1 hurt 1 play and the other on the next?

Having only 2, promoting an OL when Barnes gets hurt, tells me they aren’t too worried about it, and they shouldn’t be. Also tells me they really think Rodgers can take a few snaps if we need.

Awful gameplans last week, totally outcoached. Keeping Amari (clearly AR thinks he is useless). Saying Tom is competing with Runyan instead of benching Hanson. This stupid comment about D and Jones? WTF is going on, how did this FO and MLF become so incompetent so quickly?

I’m going to give them benefit of doubt because I remember last years week one stinker...Il just say I hope we aren’t seeing Lafleur without Hackett...and more of this is to come...

I think his comments were less about injury and more about keeping both Fresh, as no one is behind them they get gassed. I’m just suggesting have three backs on the roster so we can put two great players on the field more often, and bring in a third back for some snaps while they rest up if needed,

I guess I don't get this continual hang up about a roster spot for a guy who would be likely to not suit up on gamedays.

Continual hang up? Just discussing something based of Lafleurs comments. He says he limits putting two of our best players on the field at the same time, because there is no one behind them to come in the game in relief.

I was just saying I would rather use a roster spot on a third back and feel more freedom to have Jones and Dillon both in the game whenever I wanted.

The reason to not do it is resolvable and worth resolving imo.

The signs have always been there. I’ve talked about Guteys failures extensively. I won’t beat a dead horse as much as I’d like to.

LaFleur I have lost faith in recently. Consistently he has botched the offensive line personnel here. Whenever this team is blown out he has no answer. Rarely does this team lose close games. Then there are the just absolutely dog &%$@ game plans he has run out against some opponents that make no sense, including this past weekend. I was very high on LaFleur but I no longer feel he’s that great a coach and is only being carried by his QB.

I'am starting to think our offensive game plans and schemes have to much of a Rodgers lean to them, the slow developing pass routes, the side line los quick passes fool no one any more, and that stuff is MO Rodgers from the McCarthy era, Lafluers quick passing schemes are designed 5 to 10 yrd routes.

He's already on record for not wanting to much motion, mis direction, jet sweeps, or the flavor Lafluer brought to this offense

Rodgers says he wants to run more, which to me translates to "I shouldn't have changed so many run calls"

I could get with that except when Love had to play against the Chiefs LaFleurs game plan was again just downright terrible and didn’t help his young QB at all. When it got ugly again LaFleur just had no answer or adjustment to get the offense moving.
