If this is legit, that post-bye gauntlet is brutal. Traveling to SF for a Thursday game after hosting Minny? Yikes.

Feels like one of those schedules that starts out 4-4 or 5-3, gets everyone all riled up...
...and then we finish 11-5 or 12-4 like a boss

I'm guessing there won't be fans in stadiums all season, but, if they do bring them in mid way, it's nice to have got road games at New Orleans and Minnesota out of the way early.
And finish with 4 of 6 at home.

Like: No long road trips. Bucs after the bye.
Dislike: Vikes at their house to start, 49ers on a short week at their house is super rough, early bye.

Yikes!! That would be a big match-up right off the bat.
I hate, hate, hate, hate Week 1 matchups vs division rivals.
I went to the Bears-Packers road opener at Soldier Field on September 2, 1979. Don't remember much other than the game was uneventful and the Packers lost 6 to 3. In looking at the box score Walter Payton rushed for over 100 yards and James Lofton caught ONE EFFEN pass for a 4 yard gain. Terdell and Eddie Lee each rushed for 24 yards
. David Whitehurst was the Packers QB and Phipps was the Bears QB. I guess there was a reason we planned accordingly with our pre-game tailgate festivities that day. If I remember correctly it was a big time Tanq and Tonic, (or maybe is was JB scotch?) tailgate event ........... maybe even some bottles of Andeker or Special Export as well. We grilled Italian sausages that day. Wow...........that was over 40 years ago. GO PACKERS!

I hate the fact our bye is early again - week 5.

I actually don't mind it. If our offense gets off to a slow start, like it usually does, it gives us a week to regroup and maybe rethink some things. Not to mention if we start to go on a mid season terror, I don't want the bye week to break any momentum.
It's really all about injuries though, on whether you're going to like the bye week placement or not. Anyone can get hurt anytime.

I think it can be advantageous to have the bye closer to the middle of the season to give your team a break. When your bye is early like ours is this year it can be one long haul after that.

Just noticed how nicely this schedule breaks down into quarters the way MM used to like looking at things.
4 weeks, then a bye
4 weeks ending in a Thursday game, creating a "mini-bye."
No clear delineation in the back half, though the Sunday night game (Chicago Week 12) or the schedule variable game (Panthers, week 14) would have been nice week 13 things.
I guess it, at least, has back-to-back home games to end quarter 3 and then a road trip if we had to create a line.
PLUS, it's pretty sweet that we open against a team full of rookie CBs. There's no way Gladney and Danzler are gonna be up to the task; and Mike Hughes hasn't been very good yet.

Tough break for me that both Nashville and ATL are 2 hours away from me, and charlotte is only 4...and all three games are at Lambeau. Im thinking either 6 hour drive to Indy for me, or maybe @GB against Philly if planes are operating and life has returned to normal by then. Doubtful, but a man can dream. Indy would keep me out of a plane at least.
All this only a factor if fans are even in the stands of course.

Well, we decided that Indy is our choice for our 2020 away trip. Hoping we will be good since it is late November, but who knows. If it flies, it will be our 18th stadium. Bummer just "Tentatively" planning a trip and hoping it happens.

Yeah, some day we hope to make it to all of them, and they keep building new ones, so the trips will never end. (Shhhh, don't tell our wives).
