If he can build on providing competent and more consistent defensive play and continue his above average ST play, I'd say that's a very palatable contract and even go so far as to say money well spent.
While true, it's also a contract built, it seems, to avoid an obvious renegotiation of sorts (like we saw with Aaron Jones, Aaron Rodgers, etc) should the player perform to/exceed expectations.
