Let's crush these guys. Should have beat them in the playoffs and they are damaged now. Let's push their season over the cliff!

Advantage PACKERS!

Their 3 best or most important players are out. Two of our best 4 defenders.

I agree moves have weakened our cornerback position especially with Jaire being banged up but did you truly believe at the beginning of this season this was a Super Bowl caliber team? I felt we were a playoff team but we still have holes to fill to be able to win this division let alone the conference. We have defensive issues and are too inconsistent on offense to contend for a championship this year. I don't think we are too far away however.
The question you asked in your first sentence?

Yes, absolutely.

The rest of your msg is nothing more than the same thing you can say about any other roster in the league and an unwillingness to commit to believing in this team. Tsk, tsk…

The msg you responded to?

Pfft.

Ignore it.

Armchair QBing with hindsight as his crutch. It’s easy to quibble over what might have been and unfortunately some posters relish in it. It’s an easier game to play as a fan when you hedge your bets for coming up short, as 31 teams do every single year.
This is an important exchange, folks.

I make a legitimate post sounding the alarm about the cornerback position and I roasted the GM for sitting on his hands and not improving the position…when literally almost every other contender added pieces for the stretch run. We think we are contenders and we were sellers! Lol can’t make it up.

But anyways, mod here says I am “armchair qb with hindsight as my crutch”

Yet I made multiple posts about the need to upgrade at corner. Ha.

So this is really just an attack I received for criticizing Gutebumst, and if you remember I said that wasn’t allowed around here. You see why I said that now. It will allow you to be a recipient of some slander.
It was reasonable for Gute to believe Valentine or Stokes would be at least okay in coverage. Additionally he added Bullard who hasn't transitioned to the NFL as quickly as hoped. Adding a great Safety in FA and another in the draft it was also reasonable to assume the improved safety play would help the CB play.

As far as adding via trade, not every player available is worth the price or a fit for our system or lockerroom.

To ridicule Gute and call him names because of one position group that hasn't worked out when we are 7-3 and he has brought in so much talent since last season, well it just makes you look silly and one of the guys who just likes to complain.

The very familiar red zone penalty on the offense.

When the 49ers hit Kraft from behind the players looked like a bunch of bowling pins flying around. I think the hit from behind actually helped give Kraft momentum to get to the end zone.

Leave it to Quay Walker to look terrible on a sack play.

Justice: Gary gets credited for the sack, Q just for TFL.

I do like Quay blitzing, tho. Has the size and explosiveness for it.
