I expected Stokes to start against NO, and he should have, so obvious in TC that he was better edge corner, I expect what we saw from him Sunday will be normal, so I can't switch my vote to him over Aaron, yes he does produce a 100 + yrds a lot, but he's the only RB to catch 3 passes for TD's in 40 years, and he carried this team to victory Sunday
I am still having trouble counting the lateral in the backfield as a true TD pass. :idn:

I do understand that Stokes had a good game, but Aaron Jones definitely exceeded any expectations too.

As for his statline, yes. But I re-watched the highlights, and Jones was schemed so open, and the blocking he got was so good, that on his 4 TDs, he had to break a total of one tackle. A weak one by a DB with a bad angle on the goal line. If I could, I'd rather vote for LaFleur or everyone involved with blocking for Jones in the red zone...

It's kinda the RB equivalent of a QB completing only short, easy passes, but receivers making tacklers miss like crazy for chunks of YaC and TDs, leading to a fantastic QB statline... I wouldn't give the QB all the credit for that.

Before I get murderered: I do think Jones had a good game. I just think Stokes' tough 1-1 wins were more positively surprising to me.

Don't worry, I won't try to murder you...

Now, have you heard the new Huey Lewis album?
