So, why Olave? I have gone back and forth quite a bit between Olave and Burks being the best option for the Packers. I think over the past few days I have really settled on Olave, again. I think if I look deep enough, I see a potential #1 receiver and not the 1A or 2 that many see. I have a lot of trust in Matt LaFleur to figure out how to maximize his potential so he can fully realize the vision. The tools he has to work with, namely pure speed, smoothness, and route-running/football IQ put him over the top.
If he had been gone, I would have been very tempted to trade out of that spot to the bottom of Round 1 or even Round 2 and add additional value. A few days ago I might have done it for the right offer if Olave and Burks were both available, but I think there is enough differentiation and higher-end ability with Olave that I hope he is the Packers pick, if available, at 22.

While I am waiting on a few trade options, what would others do with this pick/board for the Packers?

As much as I question why the jags would trade up for a guard… that was going to be Pittsburgh’s pick.
I’m loving my work for the Falcons and Giants, but dang, the Steelers? Not my best.
I do LOVE Tyler Smith though. I’d prefer him in round two, but if I like him more than Raimann OTs are gonna flow quickly.

Didnt feel confident about him making it to 33, I would have taken him at 31 with the Bengals, last guy I was eyeing for Jax, and always 5th year option when moving up. Pretty cheap for IOL.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑06 Apr 2022 13:08As much as I question why the jags would trade up for a guard… that was going to be Pittsburgh’s pick.

That and Derek wanted to move back, always gotta get the Packers what they need in here.
Sorry, haven't been on at all today. Jet's will hold where they are at for now. Hope to be available later as I have several picks coming up.

I contemplated Travis Jones for the Packers. Ideally, would have liked to trade back into that 40 range and have nabbed him. Went Daxton Hill, instead, though and have no issues with that, either.

I think that's the right choice. Hill is versatile and I think the Packers would like that. But either would be good picks.

I haven’t watched that much, but love what I see in Jones. Value seems pretty equal to Hill. Can’t really make up my mind… and I usually find it pretty easy to give a draft lean to one guy over another.

I would break that tie with Jones because he's the last of his kind (NT size with 3-tech movement) available in this draft where I like several versatile defensive backs.
But those were the two prospects I figured would be the Packers' targets there, so I'm glad we're all on similar pages, even if you drafted our future #2 WR in the first round

Oohhh backthepack just took Christian Watson off the board!
He was not the receiver I considered for the Seahawks and Colts, but it is sad to see him go.

Leal to Baltimore is perfect. Like yeah, that's where he finds his value.
Was a no brainer pick really. Wasn't quite sure what I'd do if he wasn't there.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑06 Apr 2022 20:36Leal to Baltimore is perfect. Like yeah, that's where he finds his value.
