He's tall, fast, and productive. VERY thin. Is he actually any good at receiver? I haven't watched him at all. Do we have thoughts?

Honestly never heard of him. This will be my trigger to do a little digging, though.

This was just discussed somewhere else, but this is not your TT/MM OL. This is a big man, man.

Contrary to the numbers in the article (6'4" 325), he weighed in at the combine at exactly 6'3" and 318.

Point stands, though, that he is bigger and less athletic than the former mold.

But the "college LT who may be a versatile piece at OG or RT" motif still stands up across front office regimes.

Oh, I bet I know what they wanted to talk about. I totally had missed this.
Ole Miss football received news that linebacker Sam Williams will return to the field this fall after his sexual battery charges were dropped on Tuesday. He started practicing with the team again on Sunday. "With no pending charges, Sam Williams has returned to football activities," Ole Miss Athletics said. "We defer to his legal council on questions regarding his case." In July, the Ole Miss linebacker and defensive lineman was arrested for sexual battery, according to a police report obtained by the Clarion Ledger. The report states that Williams was arrested on the morning of July 24 and was released later that afternoon after paying a $25,000 bond. Head coach Lane Kiffin was asked to speak of the linebacker's return in his weekly press conference. "To my knowledge, Sam had been working out. He wasn't working out with us because he was away from all team activities," Kiffin said. "But we did see him a little bit. We worked him in yesterday, and obviously, he has a ways to go, but you can see why. Really, that's our first time with him with no spring ball. You can see flashes of why he's shown to be a really good player at times." - Daily Mississippian

So he’s a skinny playmaker with good not great speed.

Sounds like he had a monster year at Montana in 2019 (1400+ yards)

A little older

Meh. Fine.

I don't care all that much about someone being 24 for a late round flyer.

Could see LaFleur having some fun with someone like him.

I don't like that his name is pronounced 'Sah-moor-ee' instead of 'Sam o rai' (samurai)

I mean he’s named after an emperor who was a fierce resistance fighter to French colonialism in Western Africa in the 19th century, so you can still get a fun military connotation from it.

I would not be disappointed to see George Pickens continue to wear a big G on his helmet as a professional.

Sounds like Thompson might be a safety candidate; fast but struggles with mirror and c.o.d (his testing was very good in that, but the reviews I've read of his film suggest otherwise)
