How many times, LAST YEAR, when we were down late in the game, did we see Love make the desperation throw, just to seal the loss.
I get it, maybe in ONE of the infinite alternate universes, the Packers came back to win this game, but it is ignorant to make that throw into triple + coverage. We’ve seen it all season long… throw it up and hope.
The guy hasn’t learned yet.
I'll give him a pass on that heave in the final 2 minutes. At that point, it didn't really matter anyway. But you have a point here.

I won’t apologize for being unhappy with committing 4 turnovers in a playoff game

We play like we're the youngest team in the league. Inconsistent. Just because of our playoff games last year everyone thought we were ready. This team improved on defense and found a reliable running game.
Just need to add a couple more guys like Jacobs and X next year that have experience. I like MLF but I think he needs to change his play calls. Always use too much clock and can never go up tempo. Need something else to give defenses to think about.

But we were going to lose anyway, why does it matter how?
Well it matters for next year. And it matters to Doubs, if he has any brainpower left, will retire possibly because he will not pass a physical.
It matters because MLF needs to be fired. First for playing Watson vs the Bears. Secondly for an uninspired and sloppy game vs the Bears. And now this offensive performance,

LaFleur does not have a handle on this team and he will never win a Super Bowl as a head coach. &%$@ like that right there doesn't happen when players respect the head coach.
I think LaCoach could win a SB with the right support. But will never happen with Gute and Love.
I don't think LaCoach is the answer either. This is his ceiling as a HC IMO.
I heard a lot of people say that about Andy Reid too.
But honestly even if this is his ceiling. It's a hell of a ceiling.
I don't think people appreciate just how hard and rare it is to win a SB.

Last year? I don't think we saw it all that much. This year, too much.
Both the Las Vegas and Denver games it happened…
Absolutely, after that, I don't think he did. This year it felt like most games.

thanks Papa. I'm glad that you came back to the forum this year!
Appreciate that. Everyone else is glad too, I know. But it's nice to see someone say it.
I was so angry last year. The reason was because weirdly were good enough to go to the Superbowl. We destroyed Dallas and I felt we gave it away to the niners and the Lions were not as good.
There seems to be a bigger difference this year where it seems that Philly, Detroit and MN all seemed better. I am upset we didn't improve more, the way we should have but as far as the actual games, we had a better chance last year. Its just how felt and feel.
Oh, believe me I know. I was saying the same thing. Many were of the mindset that we'd be back and have that same opportunity next year- like it was a given. This year hurts but last year hurt more, for this reason.

But we have an average high school football coach who posts a bunch of twitter links here that’s the grand poobah of all thing Packers football.

Man I swear I had other metrics in that post. Maybe I used invisible ink.
Did you even watch our defense play today? Obviously, you are biased in what you want to notice.
The defense played well. You know the offense can be physical too right? The offensive line got dominated today.
Jacob’s, Reed, Kraft, Brooks, Wilson and others were quite physical. Our OL is just not that good and once Jenkins left they were not able to replace him effectively. Losing our decent WRs really impacted us too.

Why are some of you so upset even when you proclaimed we were not going to win today?
I’m tired of losing the same exact way. There was no growth from week 1 until now. We fumbled more than once a game! That is embarrassing. The. You come out in the playoffs and fumble twice, one on the very first play.
Your special team was &%$@ all year and for the 2nd time in 4 years it costs you a playoff game and for the 3rd time in 10 years it costs you a game. That is organizationally inexcusable.
All of your 2nd and 3rd year contracts aren’t good enough. Jaire didn’t play. Clark didn’t do anything. Love was bad. Gary was average. Jenkins went out quick. Nixon sucked. McKinney wasn’t the best today.
I’ll give a grade on my 2021 draft pretty soon but spoiler alert. That draft with 11 picks should have built the foundation for a powerhouse and we blew it. This is just an above average team.
with the help of blueberry marmalade crush
I came to the conclusion we are a draft and several more UFA shy of having the depth needed, we lost key starters and lacked the depth to compensate for those losses, 7th seed out of 16 says your right, that's average, youngest team in the league and it shows.

Tom to C and Morgan RT? Seems Tom got exposed a little at RT.

A playoff loss that was easy on the heart. Most of our losses are heartbreaker.
Had little hype going in. Kind of learned who we were at Minnesota. Will be an important offseason from the front office and also the player growth themselves. We need to see more from Love. He can play better than he did in 2024.
Defense looks to have some answers if we can add a corner.
Offense definitely will need some soul searching. Seems we got away from some of the things that worked last year. Then we had some regressions from the receivers and Love. Jacobs was fun to watch all year.
I agree with you about our D. What a difference a decent D coordinator makes!
On offense we need a lineman and a true #1 WR (we could use another #2 too). We have the RB and TEs.

Being the leagues youngest team isn’t exactly something to strive to be. How bout some vets who know how to win?
JACOBs and x were a nice start.
Dopey van ness is a bust
Gary is a bust
Clark is washed

Your right.
Its important to remember history. It can tell us something.
Think about the 96 and 2010 Packer super bowl teams. Just a couple quick thoughts. Love is not Favre or Rodgers yet. Will he get there? I don't know.
We don't have guys and leaders like Reggie White, Leroy Butler, Charles Woodson, or Clay Matthews on this team just to name a few.
Simply the this Packers team is good.....just not good enough.

Much different feel this year than last. I didn't watch the first half after the kick off. Self imposed boycott for another worthless replay from our lovely league that was going to last the entire game, but I broke down when my middle son asked if he could still watch the game and I heard him asking his brother a question about the game so I came down stairs and watched with him.
Yeah it was halfway competitive, but we were down 2 possessions almost the entire game and it was still a double digit loss. As soon as we got close they drove right down for a shove it in your damn face TD. it wasn't really all that close.

We are all unhappy after the loss. Nothing wrong with that. Just really wild that some have to drag everyone else down to their miserable human level.
We all see the limitations. We all acknowledge them. What most do not do though is harp on it a dozen times a day in an attempt to make everyone else miserable. That's wild to me.

MLF had a bad game but there is zero reason for us to make a change at HC. He is the best HC I can remember us having. His scheme might be the best in the NFL. The fact is that Love has limitations as a QB that MLF needs to work around, and not only does he usually work around them, he puts us in a position to excel.
We were the 2nd youngest team of all time to make the playoffs (the youngest team being last year's Packers). Sloppiness is going to happen. And then you throw in the injuries at key positions and you get what we got today.
We definitely need to make some changes, but HC is not one of them. The WRs took a step backwards this year. The jury is still out on Love because, while he has a lot of great games, it is questionable whether or not he can put together 4 straight games without being a bonehead. He is sort of like Dak in Dallas, but better. Our championship blueprint with Love looks something like what SF has been doing: dominant defense, loaded offense, and a QB who can run the system well enough to get us there. Except Love is better than any QB SF has had, and he is a top 10 QB in this league all things considered (he just can't carry a team and still needs some coaching because he makes boneheaded decisions that cost us in key moments).
But ultimately I think what got us this year was youth/miscues and injuries. And refs. Those things got us today, and they got us in all of our losses this year. And while we were a good team, we were not a great team because we were not good enough to overcome those things. Watson was a big loss. Jaire sort of was too. And then of course during the game it was a bloodbath
