Jaire extension is not going to be easy or cheap.
Dang. Should have done it when they only had to beat Ramsey.

It's actually real easy. Don't extend him. Trade him.
I would think the avenues for these exceedingly greedy contract demands would dry up, the amount of rich owners willing to pay would dwindle, but it's probably wishful thinking on my part, paying players near 30 mil a season seems non sustainable and un fair, it's keeps the minimums low, the NFL seems a perfect example of income inequality.
I expect we probably will have to trade Alexander at those prices, and might even draft his replacement in this class.

Nah, they keep throwing money at the problem. You would think that the Albert Haynesworth (Washington) and/or Ndamukong Suh (Miami) deals would have taught these guys something. Look at the guaranteed money the Bears gave Khalil Mack. The list goes on and on .............

Brady retired because Arians was the coach. He met with the Glazers at a MANU game in England the weekend before he unretired and explained his conditions for coming back as a Buc.
RIP Arians.
You dont trash Brady in the media and then ride Bradys coattails to success.
looks like you where right, Brady runs the Tampa Bay Bucs, geesus, the inmates actually do run the asylums

I never cared for him either.
I believe his biggest appeal should be we could claim him off waiver for $1.8 million. Although guessing we would have tossed NE a draft pick if we wanted him at all. Maybe vet min compete for roster spot. But no ST value that I'm aware of, don't even really want him taking reps in TC in my opinion.

Isn't he a bigger bodied WR who can't separate?
Which I suppose means I'm not overwhelmingly interested, but the Packers might be, haha
UPDATE: Yikes, his numbers coming out are scarily similar to Trey Burks, except Harry had a bit
better agility and explosion testing
Enough to sorta scare me off Burks for a minute.

Saints get pick 16 and 19 from the Eagles, also 194 this year.
They give the Eagles
18, 101 and 237 this year, 2023 1st and a 2024 2nd.
Code: Select all
Before: After:
15. Philly Philly
16. Philly Saints
17. Chargers Chargers
18. Saints Philly
19. Philly Saints
Longest story short, Saints giving up there 2023 1st and a 2024 2nd for one of the Eagles first rounders this year.

I mean I get it. But if this qb they trade for isn't their starter for 10 years plus its a bad deal. NO is a mess for a while and now no draft capital to get cheap young talent.

Props to the Eagles on that negotiation.
They got that 2024 2nd, didn't give up pick 15, and then also forced a confusing swap of 18 and 19.
I almost feel like I would have been content taking their 2023 1st and 2024 2nd for pick 15.
Maybe toss in like a 4th or 5th year, would fit my plans of just spreading this wealth around over multiple years, keep your options open, particularly at QB next year.
If the Saints are looking to move up for a QB, kind of surprised the Giants just wouldn't have been content giving up 5 for 18, 2023 1st and 2024 2nd, and maybe some filler.

Yeah, he was always a contested catch guy and never a separator. I just think there is room at the LaFleur offense for a guy like this who you can scheme open, especially if he is the 2nd or 3rd option. I think a lot of these guys wash out with poor scheme fits, but I would love to see what he looks like in this offense. Big, physical, can block, I mean, he was seen as a RAC monster coming out and returned punts at Arizona State. I feel like in the right scheme there is still a lot of redemptive value there.

Yeah, given we'd have to offer more in the NFC, we don't have a chance.

I was onboard going after him after initially hearing of the Adams trade. Not so much anymore.
Yep. Pass.

Honestly a bargain.
His 6-year average is 20.7M, just a hair over the 3-year averages of younger but inferior players like Mike Williams and Chris Godwin? They can gradually increase cap numbers with the rising cap over a longer period of time? The deal extends past the pro-rated bonus which adds flexibility.
Great contract for the Bills and great long-term security for Diggs.

yep before the ink even dried on Adams mega contract, it's upped with the Dix deal, thats why I hope we get a ready to rumble WR in this draft, if there very good ya wont be able to resign them, and if they suck for 3 years, and then break out they will cost a fortune anyway.
the price of these players is going to destroy this game.
