And absolutely not equivalent, but still, some context:

Not picking a fight, but why isn't it equivalent? I do that all the time with players and fines, losses to holdouts, etc. What am I missing?
Because scaling between an individual and a corporation is not the same. I am not going out of my way to say it's not the same (even though it's not), just expected the fight to be coming at me from the other side, so I threw that in.

So why is WFT being fined? I am behind the times, I guess.

I think there was a significant toxic work environment for years and years where basically sexual harassment and toxicity towards women were happening.

Is there not yet a TC schedule, as far as practices open to the public? I’m interested. Gonna be in WI the first half of August anyhow. Might as well take a day in GB and Lambeau!

I don't think it is equivalent because the WFT isn't in direct competition with anybody. They have a guaranteed revenue stream, market, and fan base. Add a buck to everything they sell and five more on parking and they make money because that raise is never coming off. It might be a short term squeeze because of the covid year but it won't change the owner's attitude. I suppose the cash goes to charity and not to the aggrieved parties so they will still have to sue a major corporation to see a dime.

Again, semantics. If one keeps adding or changing definitions or parameters, the results change. It must be me, since I gave up replies in another forum for the same reason, but I still think x% of an amount is equivalent to x% of a different amount. Carry on. :)

I wonder. Is the fine a tax-deductible business expense for the corporation? My bet it is.

Yeah it might be. Government issued fines are not tax deductible. But this isn't coming from a government source.

I doubt player fines can be tax deductible though.

Used to look forward to TC. Haven't for some time as the restrictions mean there's not much point. The cuts have to be made, but it seems as if the first few regular season games are for evaluating the roster. Has anything changed lately to make following TC worthwhile?

Used to look forward to game 6 of the preseason, because I knew then the real season would start. Kids these days don't know how easy they have it.

I remember when the Giants went 6-0 in PS their fans were really optimistic, but since they played starters for almost the whole of the PS games they wound up something 2 - 12 when the real shooting started. :P

.
QB spending vs Non-QB spending from Over The Cap
Which teams have expensive QBs ? Which teams are spending to surround them with talent ?

https://overthecap.com/non-qb-nfl-spending/

Image

"The way I would read this is that teams in the top right quadrant have expensive QBs and are investing a lot in the rest of their roster despite what is being spent on the QB. Those in the bottom right are relying heavily on rookie talent and/or are relying on the QB to push them over the top. The top left are the teams with lower cost QB situations and trying to surround their teams with as much talent as possible. Those in the bottom left have cheap QB rooms but are being more cautious with their spending on the rest of the roster."
