The Packers sign WR DeAndre Thompkins to have another warm body in camp. And I totally first read that "DeAndre Hopkins" and was like woooot? :rotf:
well thats understandable, we want T hompkins to be Hopkins soooo bad we don't even see the T

real shortage on WR's since the top 5 are sitting out.

Yeah, what a joy to watch.

Memory of fastJordy is a big reason why folks are so down on MVS. Did everything right.

I don't think so. Memories of inconsistent MVS is why folks are so down on MVS.

I guess I thought our redzone defense was worse but other than that we are at where I thought we would be.

Our schedule in December got significantly easier in terms of the offensive units we faced. We were about 13th to 16th in the league entering November (but it was really tight in that 6th to 18th range) and left December in the top 10 because we did a REALLY good job vs Tennessee.

My wife and I were playing a "Know your Spouse" road trip game to pass the time and Favorite Athlete was the question.

I had to think about it and I was like..."I know the answer is Jordy Nelson."

PFF rankings:
Packers Are Loaded at Skill Positions

The Packers are the only team in the NFL with a quarterback, receiver and running back in the top six in all three categories.

Can’t say I’m a huge fan of these voidable years strategy.
Feels like the sort of loophole that gets closed in the next round of negotiation. It’s DEFINITELY a bad practice. Not one you want to get into if you can avoid it.

The thing I loved about TT’s play it safe strategy even when it was frustrating for me or even when he was overdoing it, I knew we were always among the league’s lowest in dead money, which meant our cap could be used for our CURRENT team.

Gutey is dipping hard into dead money strategies. As a constant “the sky is not falling because the TV money is coming” proponent, even I’m starting to get a little geeked out about what we’re going to have to do to get through 22 and into the bigger TV money years

Also trade for Julio. 😂
Q: if trading for Julio means we get one year of Julio and Davante together, but that Devante walks after 2021, is that a deal you do?

Can’t guarantee Davante stays anyway. But financially that might force it.

The price of a COVID year and going "all in". We have no choice but to do this, just to field a team this year. 22 is going to be a hell of a year. I expect it not to be a very good looking one.

And I agree 100% with everything you just said. I hate this and I'm betting they do too. Will be good to get back to normal in a few years.

I am not the biggest fan of rah-rah coaches, but I do think this is something our D needs. Love the energy.
