No McVay or Shanahan on his top 6 list. Interesting.

I'd be interested in seeing a multi-year cumulative look, as well... see where those guys fall in.
In their overall 2020 head coaching rankings, I think they had MLF 3rd, fwiw. I don't feel like looking it back up to recall who was where, but John Harbaugh was 2nd and I feel like Brian Daboll was 4th. Maybe Reid was #1?
I tend to be patient with the development of TEs, but this is year 3 for Sterny, and he can't afford this crap. He has the athletic makeup to do everything Tonyan does, but it hasn't been visible on the field.

Geez Sternberger, you have one job! I know this stuff happens sometimes, but for crying out loud, research your supplements!

Alright I’m calling it on Stern. Bust.

I’m actually shocked I didn’t get ripped for declaring stern a bust. Haha

one minor upside is that you get a roster exemption for Sternberger for 2 weeks at cutdown time - and many teams grab vets after week 1 so they aren't on the hook for the full year salary. This buys Gute some added flexibility

I think I rather go with Nauta for the last TE spot than Sterny.

Or, you know, don’t drink and drive.

Yeah good to see he has addressed it and good to see he knows he was wrong and wants to do better...but the anti depressant part has no role in the story and is a ploy for sympathy..while throwing the millions of people who take anti depressants who never go drink and drive under the bus.

Yeah, ouch... that ain't good. Honestly, I would trade him for a late-round flier.
I may have been willing to exercise patience with his long-term development if our TE position was as weak as it has usually been over the past few seasons. It's not, though; Sterny is dead weight.

Hang on here fellas. You don’t bounce a 3rd round pick in year 3. Especially at TE. It doesn’t look good but let’s not get rid of him.
Think of Davante. I didn’t like the pick. I thought he sucked after hurting his ankle which somehow affected his hands but you don’t cut cheap rookies drafted highly.
I’m all about calling a scrub something like ass booty butt cheeks but let’s call a bum a bum and not for their head.

I don’t want to cut him but he’s certainly a full on bum in my eyes until he proves otherwise.
