This is a hell of a story.

Wow. Everyone should read that.
He is a good dude to deal with all that. The one brother always found trouble and it finally caught up with him. Sorry, not sorry kind of deal. Tragic (but stupid) how the other one died, awful for the kids.

Tom Brady will get 37,5M per year to work for Fox once he retires from football.
Is that “start date” open-ended? Or does that almost assure that 2022 is Brady’s last playing season?
I wondered the same. But regardless, FOX is certainly willing to wait for him because he's a money maker.

Though when I heard this news I about vomited. I hate listening to Brady. The man makes me cringe. Not really happy to have him calling a bunch of Packers games every year. I hope I'm wrong.
He would likely take Aikman’s seat for Fox’s #1 team. Wouldn’t he? So, if the Packers keep winning, they’ll still draw the #1 team plenty often.

I’m not against Brady. He does show some things that I don’t care for much. But that’s usually because he’s a fierce competitor. I think I can handle him being in the booth.

This just seemed like an area that actually got better because of the pandemic and instead of taking the win, they choose to go back (for whatever reason they state) to save a couple pennies.

I would be ok with them extending it to 6 weeks, but remain unlimited. That the 2nd part is being taken away is unbelievable.

There seems to be some overriding sense the Saints are gonna be a big time contender this year. I just don’t get it. There’s a reason Payton jumped ship when he did. He saw the big drop off coming and got out when the gettin’ was good.

I won't judge to see the numbers.

I hope it's 8 digits to cement the Saints as the worst offseason in recent memory, but anything around like 5-6 or less is pretty solid deal.

Guessing Landry willing to take less to go back to Louisiana.

Trey Burks poorly conditioned coming into first Titans practice:

I liked him up until the combine. At 4.55 speed he wasnt worth a 1st IMO. Definitely not a top 20 pick.

Honestly, though, that's the kind of thing that's fixable if he's willing to fix it. I wouldn't be concerned if I was a Titans fan (minus the direct player-for-player nature of AJ Brown vs. Burks, which is tough to swallow)

Definitely not determinative of success/failure as a pro, but one of the knocks on him was not coming to the last couple Arkansas camps in shape. Not a good sign, he's got to get his ish together fast.

I wouldn't sound alarms yet, but I wouldn't like it either.

If it truly is a "just didn't do the right kind of things rather than no effort" that's one thing. But if it's lack of effort...that's a really toxic trait to have. We saw with Justin Harrell. We saw it with Eddie Lacey. These things are usually poor precursors of what is about to happen.

And honestly I have trouble accepting the "he just didn't train properly rather than no effort theory" because my lord. You are a 1st round pick. You have the Internet. You have trainers at Arkansas. You have an agent who has connections.

Like there really shouldn't be any excuse to not be in shape for an NFL practice.
