I am 28 now, but the wife and I pretty much finalized a plan so we can retire at 55. Lots of variables that might derail that plan, but should be good if all goes well.

I am 54 and work part-time doing a job I still enjoy very much. My wife turns 54 this January and will go part-time following the birth of our first 2 grand babies this fall/early winter. Her part-time employment is by choice; she could quit if she wants.

All this was possible because we made a financial commitment years ago to be debt free and live within our means. That, and pursue career paths that had reasonably high success rates and pay.

We are now enjoying the benefits of those decisions made years ago. I hope you realize the same benefits when your time comes. :aok:

Thinking of pre-ordering a Google Pixel 7 Pro. I don't really need a new phone, but if I can get a good trade-in on my Galaxy S10+ I may do it. Best Buy has a deal now, but they won't give much for it. But Google "estimates" $340 trade in. If I can get that, I may do it. Anyone have experience with trade-ins with Google?

When I wasn't arguing about "uptempo" offense today I was waiting out the arrival of my first grand child. Meet Sela (pronounced Say'la) Morgan, the most beautiful grand daughter ever born to this world!

...but I might be biased.

Just booked a short trip to Louisville at the end of the month/early Dec. Half work, half vacation. But already have tours booked at Buffalo Trace and Maker's. Not near enough time to hit everything I want. Probably skipping Lexington altogether. But might try to hit Bardstown Bourbon Co. Also going to try to hit Old Forester and Starlight and then see what happens.

My luck the weather will be so awful that I'll have to cancel.

If you can make it to Keenland in Lexington to see the horses train on Sat morning (if they still do that) you should go. Lived there 9 years and that is the one thing you should for sure do.

Unfortunately I'll have to be headed home Saturday morning. But I'll hopefully plan a longer trip there in the not too distant future. I'll keep it in mind.

Almost official, but I'll be at the Colts/Steelers Monday Night Football game on Nov 28th. I may be one of the only people in Packers gear!

after 15 years (first 8 brisk jogging, last seven slower jogging and walking) my treadmill said enough is enough and just abruptly quit, it is merit with a 18x50 run belt, obsolete now, and anything with a deck that size now cost 3 times as much.

just wondering, the 16x50 run deck units are cheaper, will that be big enough just to walk on though, I weigh 210lbs and 6 ft, so I need something sturdy, Sunny health makes a 20x44 deck with 2.5 hp weight capacity of 350 lbs for 540.00 amazon, more then I'd hope to have to spend, is this a bit more then I need? extera makes a 16x50 for 400.00, 2.2 hp, if anyone has more info on treadmills please elaborate :aok:

Yes, 16" wide is fine for your size for just walking.

I've looked into more treadmills, still hoping for a wider deck ( I walk/wodle along in a wider path these days lol ) but no luck for less then 600.

I like the Sunny Health 20x44 , but it comes with a 2 degree built in incline, I have a bad back and that incline might have a affect, doesn't seem like a lot of incline, but it's over a inch according to my calculations.

any thoughts would be appreciated, I was hoping to stay under 6, and 550 does that, but the incline bothers me???????

I have no idea about treadmill costs so I can't help you there. My treadmill incline adjusts from 0 degrees to some higher degree that I never use. Good luck!

Skunk Stench is the new normal in the tailgating areas around Lambeau Field. Seems the recent tailspin is causing Packers fans to want to get stoned before entering Lambeau. Comments?
