And that's the issue, people are stuck in the past. From year to year no team in the NFC has been as consistently good as the Packers the last 30 years.

The stupidity of running the ball on 3rd and 6 in the red zone and then going for it on 4th and 3 being down 3 points was inexcusable. The defense played well. The Cowboys could have tied the game there and had an opportunity to clutch it later. Running on 3rd and 6 was stupid as all hell with the WRs they have but then you pass on 4th and 3 around what would have been an easy FG. MM must have been hitting the crack pipe on his time off.

I still didn't like taking a clip board holder, and we could have used a 2nd year 2 gaping DT today over Gary, it's actually alright to have a opinion about these things, it's not always good to agree with everything the F O does

That is never going to be a good match-up for the 3 EDGE guys against a run heavy team. With Detroit coming to town this week, though, I would expect those three to have a lot more opportunities.

We got out coached twice. The actual team disparity wasn't that much if any but a new HC going against his mentor seemingly came without a gameplan both times. He got schooled. A year to learn the lessons makes a difference. I'd say yesterday gives me a ton of hope that our reinvented Godgers with a deceoptive O can evolve into monster.

Yeah, I know it's talked about, but it's more talked about socially. I think tactically, the relationships between MLF and the SF coaches isn't given as much weight as its due. Especially the DC being probably the guy who knows him best--who worked with him when he was conceiving his theories and concepts as a grad student. These are veteran coaches who know MLF better than anyone in the world, and yes.. they got the better of him. I hope that mitigates with time, but I can't guarantee that it will. These are guys who know MLF's system exactly and his thinking very well and have very good ideas as to how to defeat it on both sides of the ball.

I fear the 49ers. I will continue to fear the 49ers. I'm not ashamed of fearing the 49ers, nor do I see my fear as any sort of failure by the front office or team talent. It's a bad matchup for us on the field and in the coaching booth. And it's the sort of thing that can develop into a fun and frustrating rivalry over time or that can act as a block to our success or anywhere in between. They could be our early 1990s Cowboys or they could be what we were to the late 1990s 49ers. Or it could swing the other way.

Yeah the SF comment was more about this past draft. And to be fair, last year your obsession over that 12 pick was primarily for Noah Fant after the fact.

But I too looooooved me some Dexter Lawrence and would love to have him on the team.

I expected more from Gary, thing is it doesn't matter how long your arms are, or even the foot work, if you loose the arm and hand battle and can't disengage then everything becomes harder, stopping the run requires the ability to reach out and get a hand on the RB, impossible if your arm wrestling the OL, but sure I think he'll improve.

Fant only because Rodgers has needed a better receiving TE, but Lawrence would have been the best choice hind sight being 20/20.

I just hate picking DL man, even the highly rated ones bust at near 50% or never play up to slot selected, imho DT is the second highest bust rate position after QB, and it's why they have such a high pay scale, imo it's easier to replace a great LT then it is a DT
