Yes, but if it cost what we got for Adams and can sign him for less money, is that a win? Interesting notion.
Doubt it happens though.

If he's willing to return for minimal investment, why not. Has his uses as an extra OL. Defenses forget about him in passing game, so he's good for a surprise short-yarder every now and then.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022 02:43With the Adams trade, is anybody interested in bringing back Marcedes Lewis?
I know he's old. But he's been defying age for some time already. If he can still reliably block and catch a few passes... Why not?
Metcalf is going into the final year of his rookie contract. He has already had notable issues with the Seattle coaching staff and I wouldn't be surprised if they let him walk following this season. With a rebuild in progress and Lockett already locked up long term, wouldn't it make sense to unload DK now at his max value? After all, I doubt he sees a value spike following a year of Locke throwing him the ball.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑17 Mar 2022 23:05I like MVS a lot. But I don’t see him as WR1.
I like seeing another vet WR being brought in. But Metcalf isn’t gonna happen.
He's already under contract for not a horrible cap hit. I don't see him going anywhere.salmar80 wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022 03:19If he's willing to return for minimal investment, why not. Makes more sense for Seattle to dump Lockett and commit to Metcalf. But if they are dead-set on keeping Pete around, then Metcalf is probably gone if there are issues like you say (I haven't heard about those).APB wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022 06:27Metcalf is going into the final year of his rookie contract. I would agree! I have seen Metcalf completely lose his cool more than once. While he is a tremendous physical specimen, his hands and focus are inconsistent. He would be tough to coach.APB wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022 06:27Metcalf is going into the final year of his rookie contract. seriously, why? she simply reports sports info, why would I show her more respect then I do any of the other sports announcers who often embellish the reporting to garner more attention? which is common practice in the industry.
Seattle would realize a ~$31 mil dead cap hit trading Lockett. They would incur a $338k dead cap hit trading Metcalf.paco wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022 07:28Makes more sense for Seattle to dump Lockett and commit to Metcalf.
