I love Z. Still do. But preparing a “speech” for a week one game back in the spring is..well...corny.
This is their super bowl, man, let them have this.
The only people who think like that are, well, Packer fans.

Interesting you believe that when the opening "highlight" from the latest retired Viking was injuring Aaron Rodgers. I think it's safe to say there is truth there.

Only in your mind. If the Packers owned the Vikings like they do the Bears, maybe. But the Fact is they don't. Never have.

No, the "highlight" was real. Definitely not only in my mind.

To an extent playing the Packers at each year is their Super Bowl. It's the one game all year they have to win. It is their goal #1 each year. Who wins or loses is not really relevant. 27-17-2 is a good amount of owning this century though.

“I’d be lying to you if I said I wasn’t going to be a little extra excited, a little bit more than just any other game,” said O’Connell, who was offensive coordinator of the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams last season. “This isn’t just any other game.”

Hmm, don't sound like it is only in my head. I am genuinely afraid for Paul Allen when the Packers win. On the flip side when the Vikings do win, Super Bowl talk commences around the Twin Cities.

Please. We own the division. Vikings give us the best shot out of the rest of the division but the regular season is a formality for us. The post season is the real season. Vikings get a shot at the post season every few years because theyre perpetual bums. Just sit back and watch greatness that you will never achieve. Even the better players the Vikings have had in the last 20 years came from us. You wanna be us so bad and you stink at it.

I still after 30 years of NFC North domination remember what it was like to dream of being better then last in the division, I don't ever remember the Vikings sucking as bad as some of those teams from the 70's and 80's.

so much of our success is tied to having two all pro QB's, great coaches and GM's, imo takes all 3 to make it work, been a long time since Minny's filled all 3 positions
WE found out about that in 017 and 018, and got it fixed pretty quick, luckily, or we'd be a bit more tight lipped with Raptor and his Queens, I for one wish the Bears and Lions where better to, playing 8 games in a weak division doesn't hone ya up to play other good teams later, it gives ya false bravado, then ya get to the playoffs struten like big Tom in the hen house and get your tail feathers plucked by a freaking yearling :rotf:

Packers arrogance in the NFC North has been earned over a couple decades. Where did the Vikings arrogance come from?

Lazard missing week one is not a great start to his campaign to prove he’s worth any kind of money at all in free agency. I think the O struggles a lot early in the year. Some underestimate how spam the pass catchers are for this team at this point

If the Packers lose this game it will be due to special teams. Not necessarily because the Packers SPTs haven’t improved, but rather that the Vikings have a couple of stud returners. Are these guys ready to tackle? I hope so.

Arrogance or just reality? Packers have won 12 NFC North crowns. Bears have won 4. Vikings have won 4.

Only the Patriots have dominated their division more thoroughly the last 20 years.

See, you are all too young to remember the Great Packer teams of the 70's and 80's. What goes up, must come down. And the Packers will. 3 HOF QB's in a row won't happen. So enjoy it while it lasts. Maybe this year, maybe not. But I wouldn't be too arrogant before the first game of the season.

That was 40-50 years ago lol. We didn’t play in the NFCN then.

Still waiting on the Vikings to be “up”

Funny how that works. History doesn't count when you don't want it to. North, Central, same dam teams. How About Championships don't mean crap before the merger in 1970? Let's get nit picky.

Lol you are right that things before the North division existed do not count when we are talking about dominating the North division haha. Didn’t realize that was complicated.

As for the parameters you set about 1970...well...I guess the Packers still have multiple Súper bowls and the Vikings still have zero (0) ??

Well, let's not forget the majority of the 1960s then either. For the Vikings, mediocrity was excellence while the Packers were winning championships.
