Frankly I just hope we have a kicker who doesn't have a college number.

I hated #44 as a kicker. Kickers and punters should be #1 - #19. I'm not a fan of single digit defensive players either but I'm willing to pass on that if the player itself is awesome.
They'll just swap name tags. McManus will wear the same #17 as Nervynarvy, hopefully to better results.

Nervynarvy wore #44. Carlson was #17.

We go through kickers so fast... Meant Anders Carlson ;)

I mean now it needs to be onto the long snapper. Orzech is so bad. He almost cost the game with a snap that was extremely short. Praise Whelan for getting that thing in position. He had a bad snap against the Rams too.

At some point we need to say there is a LS problem because this guy is awful.

I am sick of nothing being done to correct the problems around here. When are we going to figure it out with ST's? $%@#.

Me too Papa. The Special Teams coach is starting to remind me of Joe Barry. UGH! If I see one more fumbled punt or bad snap ...... LaCoach needs to coach his coaches better too!

You can't stop me from bitching, 23. It's my first amendment right. And you can bet your bottom dollar that I will continue to bitch until this unit is in top shape. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

You can, it’s just odd timing to ask if they’re ever going to do anything the day after the new kicker they brought in jist days ago kicked a game winner as time expired.

I’d call that “doing something”

that does seem like a great fix, now if we could just get the people that are tasked with fielding punts and kicks to use basic common sense, versus acting like cowering tortoises, O how sweet that would be :)

either catch the dang kick, or get away from the ball, wouldn't think that would a tough coaching concept.

Yes, I am sure that Gutekunst, Murphy, and LaFluer read this forum! Good luck! :aok:

I was commenting on your superlative, btw.

This forum, as you know, is an iteration of the original forums from the Green Bay Press-Gazette website. If you think coaching and management should not care about the peoples' voice- especially when that voice originates from the team's hometown publication, you've got another thing coming. They'd all be wise to read this forum, especially Murphy. At the very least, the organization should assign a few PR employees to peruse the online forums to take the pulse of fan morale, with this forum being the primary weather vein. Those employees should be reporting directly to BG and/or Murphy.

If I were a Packers employee and stumbled upon this forum, I would laugh by ass off and show my coworkers some of the crazy stuff that's posted here and never dream of alerting actual decision makers of anything posted here.

And I mean that with all due respect to this forum.

Yes, thank you for the walk down memory lane which we all are aware of. I was not aware that this forum continues to be part of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Nor was I aware that forum ranters on the original Julie's World held any sway or even expected their voice on that internet forum to hold any sway. That seems like visions of grandeur to me, or narcissism. As your last 2 sentences imply, I think that is the very case here.

I'd put an intern to go through the forums and see what is NOT discussed. People complain real easily online. So, if they're not complaining about something, that's about the highest compliment you can get.

That we don't have a "Titletown district sucks" -thread, or a "Lambeau Field is a disgrace" -thread tells me folks are pretty happy with both.

I think Murph and all would be well served by giving me a luxury box. :munch:

Listening to fanboy owners is what gets you a franchise like the Panthers. Trust your gut, trust your scouts, and trust the people you've put in place to do the job. Above all do what you believe is the best call for the franchise. A guy in fear of his job, grasping at broken straws gets John Hadl and no draft picks.

Here's what I learned from a non-Packer intern:
They didn't "read" entire forums, they simply bookmarked a few select posters who were consistently a good read.
That allows them to buzz through a bunch of different forums without wasting time on useless stuff. She said it didn't take them more than a week to dial in each new forum - and then they could get the pulse they were looking for pretty quickly.

Highly unlikely any of that info made it to the football people; it was purely for marketing/twitter/fan engagement.

"If you listen to the fans, pretty soon you'll be sitting with the fans"
.

Teddy T. said it best ( he must have read this forum) "they think they know, but, they havn't a clue"

I'am sure all our FO people pay attention to what fans say, that doesn't mean they take that advice.
