I didn't see much mention about it here but thoughts on Shane Waldon (Rams under McVey) being hired as the Seahawks new OC?

Yikes, sounds like Marty won't be with us for much longer. I always respected him as a coach and think a lot of the play-off failures were unfair to pin totally on him.

Yep, Marty was his generations Andy Reid...except Reid finally won the big game when he had to. Marty never did, unfortunately, and it’s a shame his legacy is that of playoff failures rather than as the terrific coach he was.

thats because we aren't switching OC's, no one is paying attention to much about offense these days, cept of course me

one thing though, McVay must be active with his rolla dex, by the time these coaching hires are over he'll have a half doz new assistant, what the hey, if ya can't beat em on the field, then destroy the coaching room

That would be really funny tbh.

Fick Foles, a couple of firsts for Wentz.

Eagles get Foles back, Wentz goes to where QB's die.

The most likely scenario is Brees taking a pay cut to the veteran’s minimum salary of about $1.075 million, creating $23.925 million in savings. The Saints would then be left with just $23 million on the books for Brees from previous contract restructures, which they can cut in half by designating him a post-June 1st cut after his expected retirement (resulting in cap hits of $11.5 million in 2021 and 2022). Brees was due to count north of $36 million against the cap — now, he’s erased as much of it as possible, likely on his way out the door.

Yep, what Cdragon said. He is definitely retiring and by doing this he reduces this years cap hit big time.

Honestly if I were the Saints, I'd rather just swallow the pill and start completely from scratch. Having dead money for Brees in 2022 also sucsk. But they also likely don't have a choice. I mean they need to get 53 players on a salary cap one way or the other.

GM's using the covid endused declining cap to clean house of under performing QB's it seems, I don't care if the Bears get him, it'll take more then Wentz to float that boat.

I thought the Bears were trying to get Cousins? Not that it matters, they'll still suck

Another offensive player huh? I wonder who else they’re gonna deal. It would have to be Foles right?

Wentz is a good player. He’s had some bad luck with his own injuries as well as his team mates. Specifically his offensive line. His team also really let him down by not getting him weapons to work with on the boundary. Not that they didn’t bring guys in but they weren’t very good.

I would be worried if they somehow manage to resign Allen Robinson. He would be dangerous with Wentz. The Bears also lack targets to pass to and I’m assuming they’re giving up enough where they won’t be able to settle that position either for a year.
