So with that poor oline and bad receivers, his offense still outscored the other teams offense

Does he have to score double the other team offense? Triple? Quadruple?
I can't think of a single incident where people would defend such a high powered offense, run by your MVP, on any team... arguing that 10pts should enough. ANY fanbase. In ANY situation.

... But here we are tonight.
I suspect a lot of folks here are not considering how the loss of Dillon effected our running game and this offense tonight.
Wasn't he injured while playing on... special teams?

Honestly I might try to just sign a youtube trick shot kicker to serve as onside kick specialist and then just never kick deep or punt.

Hard to have &%$@ coverage if you never have to cover. Hard to get FGs and punts blocked if you never kick FGs and punts.

Is it hindsight if Ive been saying Gutenkunst has been failing in the draft for a while?
Well, it would be hindsight. But it would uncover your unrealistic expectations and failure at draft analysis.

Are you sure you wanna go there?
Ive gone there time and time again. Its not unrealistic. You are just choosing to be blind.

Enjoy the cap hell we are in though. Should be interesting. Especially with nothing to show for it.
I think you are the one who will enjoy it. Losers enjoy being right about losing.

I have a tip for you: Most draft picks fail, so if you want the personal fulfilment of being right about draft picks, just hate on every prospect. You're gonna be right most of the time. You're already doing a milder version of that, except you only hate 99% of prospects and love about 2 that the draft experts also love for us..

Wait, you still haven't blamed TT yet! Personally, I don't like the organizational structure of the front office. Mark Murphy is as powerful as an owner, which is not a good thing. But Lupe, you spent years blaming TT for everything wrong with the Packers. Now you are doing the same song and dance with Gute. The Packers were the #1 seed after the regular season. So, how do you explain such success with the poor playoff showing? No team has every player they need, it is simply not possible. This loss is on the players and coaches for not performing as well as they should have.

Are you implying that you were not for the signings of either of the Smiths? Amos? Extension of Clark?

What does "cap hell" have to do with your expectations of the draft?

I did my best to warn you people. You just… idk. You may not be smart enough. Maybe some leftover Neanderthal brain cells have been passed down to you. Maybe the cold has stunted your intelligence. Who knows? You’re all idiots because you continue to support this garbage. I’ve said if the STs continue the way it does it will end this team. You cannot give up empty possessions and even worse give up STs TDs.

Honestly this is a microcosm of Rodgers career. The offense will do anything it can to $%@# him. The STs will do anything to $%@# him.

Just trade him. Do him the courtesy. This management and coaching staff has ultimately failed him time and time again.

I expect to be deleted. Whatever. The truth is out.
what, you want a $%@# medal or something?
I expected this.

Look inward. Who was at fault here? Coaches and GM if the answer wasn’t clear.
Hey & welcome back. Here I go defending coaches and football operations, but how about an organizational failure to fix a systemic issue? I don't care if they have to pay a competent ST coordinator more than HC, just do it. And they haven't. I'm sure if Gute and LaFleur had their way, this would not have been the end result, but who knows for sure.

:rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

we need CB's, Ted drafts CB's, Lupe not happy :thwap:

we need pass rushers, Guty purchases pass rushers, Lupe not happy :thwap:

we need to rebuild OL, both Ted and Guty draft all pro O lineman, Lupe not happy :thwap:

we need better #2 WR, neither Ted or Guty get one, Me and Lupe not happy :bigcry:

I think having a better 3rd receiver option may have helped, course not only where we playing against a formidable SF team, we also again had to play against the woes of our own ST's squad, and they beat us again.

for all the good the org has done to field a good team (of which there are many things), the refusal to fix or address glaring weaknesses is beyond inexusable. Every year we identify a major weakness going into the offseason, then every year we smash the lions, bears, and vikings and feel we are good enough to compensate for our glaring weakness. Then, lo and behold...the playoffs come and a**** get tight and games get tights against great opponents and our weaknesses show their hand. Last two years it was ILB play and the rush defense, its been the WR2 position for a while (Odell was available), this year we fixed the ILB spot with really what I would call amazing blind luck. Campbell has been a god send. We threw paint at the wall, and thankfully some stuck. But we also knew all year the STs was beyond a joke and going to cost us, it was a glaring weakness obvious to anyone...and hey...it cost us. Just like our biggest weaknesses do every playoff.

Every team has weaknesses. No team is perfect. Our 2020 and 2021 squads were as close as it gets. The 49ers have a massive weakness in the secondary and yet we couldn't execute to take advantage.

I just can't fault the front office for how they assembled these teams the last two years. I will get upset at not spending money on a STs coordinator, but that is about as far as I can go.

Still, our identity is our offense. Our defense played absolutely fantastic. When you get contribution from a unit outside of your identity, you identity needs to step up. Our identity is our top QB play, offensive efficiency, and sealing the game at the end.

The fact we couldn't even get 2 TDs in one game or one TD after our scripted 1st drive is pathetic and far more disappointing. I have significantly higher expectations of our two HOF players than a UDFA long snapper.

We should be talking today how dominant our game was even with the STs blunders. This game should have been 21 to 10 variety and the blocked punt not even mattering.

2019: everyone
2020: Aaron Jones, Davante's dropped TD, Kevin King
2021: Lewis, Rodgers, Aaron Jones running very stupidly after his catch before half

It's a hard pill to swallow when it's the fan favorites who choke under the pressure.

Ya tend to play up or down to your competition, I've said often that I'd like to see the NFC North become a much tougher division, the less ya need to have the killer instinct to win, the harder it is to find it when ya need it, and finding it against a powder puff team like Detroit ( when ya shouldn't need it to beat them anyway) is a false premise, a false confidence that you will be able to just dial it up against a team like SF.

It's to easy to just blame one facet of the team for a lose, we have been doing that for a decade, if only this or that or he had played better, nope, imho, it's a mindset, all season, we jump out to a two score lead then seem to take our foot of the gas, and usually we win, problem is good teams figure out how to play catchup, if not for several miracle finishes this year we'd have finished 11-6, we lack the killer instinct because we coast through a cream puff division, and rely on Rodgers to win any of those close games should one of the other 3 have a hot day.

Can't blame the fans ............ 79000+ stood and were sufficiently loud when the Niners had the ball. Nothing wrong with Lambeau Field either. It was just an embarrassing choke performance by the offense and special teams.

This whole "the NFC North being a cream puff division" is a ridiculous excuse.

We played the hardest division in the NFC and went 4-0 against it. We played the deepest division in the AFC and went 4-0 against it.

Every team in the NFC North wants to beat us. Beating us is their greatest accomplishment of the year.

I just find it silly that during the offseasons when comparing Rodgers vs Brady, I heard "Brady won so much because he had such easy divisions to give him home field advantage every year in the playoffs" and now that Rodgers can't do what Brady did it's because "Rodgers is in too easy of a division and therefore we play down to our competition"

Like what is happening here?

Yeah I thought the fans were absolutely lit.

Our defense has played so well at home under the MLF era. We have that home field advantage back for sure.

Yeah. It's hard because we love him.

But the constant variable every season is Packers fans making excuses for Rodgers. No matter the coach. No matter the defense. No matter the WRs.

It's always trying to find some way to justify why Rodgers couldn't lead his team to victory when he should have.

If your going to respond to me why not just tag my post? quit acting like a 10 year old, thats whats silly

Could it be that we take those other divisional teams more seriously? that we ( Rodgers and even coaches) feel more familiar with Detroit, Chicago, and Minny there for scheme them more vanilla? it would account for the close finishes.

all my opinions, but you attack as though your always in a fight with me, have resentments, or are simply in a pissy mood and come here contradicting everything I say.

I think the stiffer the competition the better you have to be to succeed, and the more familiar you are, and more talented you are, the easier it is to become complacent, the less players have to be a 100% effort, so players let up, Rodgers belt BS with Chicago attest to that.

this is a load of crap, no one needs to defend Rodgers, unless you think he drew up the game plan last night, for most of the game he barely had time for more then two route reads before pressure forced him to throw, scramble, or throw the ball away, and most of the time the only receiver options open where Jones or Adams, could Rodgers have played better, sure, but then so could have Lazard, Cobb, and for certain our OL.

you constantly after every loss go for Rodgers jugular, some times your right, almost every player on any given day can play better, but we lacked pass protection and a better 3rd receiver option, and could not sustain a running attack last night, those things where far more glaring to me then bitching because the QB failed to over come that stuff, plus the pathetic ST's gaffs.

I mean yoop. Listen to yourself.

You are honestly placing blame on a 3rd WR as to why we couldn't score 2 TDs? You mean to tell me that having Aaron Rodgers, Devante Adams, the RBs we have aren't enough to score more than 14 points? Hell. We didn't even need more than 10 points. We just needed the offense to get some first downs on their final 2 drives in the 4th quarter and it would have been enough. Just get to midfield.

And I didn't respond to your post regarding the division because you weren't the only one who said it.

I'm honestly just sick of the excuses year after year. The book has been written. The era is over. We have two HOF QBs who found way after way of tarnishing their legacy after poor playoff performances after their first SB win. Favre did it via throwing poorly timed or multiple INTs. Rodgers did it by simply not scoring or sealing the game when he had the horses to take him all the way.

Ultimately their legacy is great players. Great memories. Blessed to have the decades of fun. Thankful for the two rings. But left a lot out there when it mattered most.
