Hopefully, the fluid thing was the result of him putting too much stress on the knee before it was solidly healed rather than something that will be recurring. I am out of my depth when it comes to medical stuff like that, but yeah. I won't be a Doomer about it just yet, but if he keeps getting sidelined next year, I won't hold out much hope for him anyone.
That is exactly how I read it. It was a problem because he kept pushing.

Am I the only one reading it this way?

I'm with you Paco. He said the injuries were healed and structurally sound. It was not resting it long enough for the fluid to dissipate. We'll know by OTAs if that's all true.

Always kind of amazes me how quickly NFL rosters turnover.

If Mason, Aaron and Davante are all gone, this is our longest tenured Packers.

Dean Lowry could be the 3rd longest tenured Packer. And only a few hours/days away from being 2nd longest. And would be 2nd longest if you count from when they signed their contracts.

I don't expect Lucas Patrick back, but he was added in '16.

David Bakhtiari '13

Kenny Clark '16
Dean Lowry '16

Aaron Jones '17

Jaire Alexander '18
Equanimeous St. Brown '18 (if back)

Then I believe this is the order of their signing:
Za'Darius Smith '19
Preston Smith '19
Adrian Amos '19
Billy Turner '19

Rashan Gary '19
Darnell Savage '19
Elgton Jenkins '19
Ty Summers '19

Everyone else from this decade.

If you think one Smith with be gone and EQ comes back on the cheap.

Jordan Love already is your 14th longest tenured Packer.

By next year, might be down to just Bak, Clark, Gary, Savage, Jenkins, Love, possibility of 6th. Although that would mean no Jones, Smith, Smith, Amos or Turner.

Harkening back to the early TT days when the Packers roster competed annually for league's youngest roster.

I was thinking of asking if we’d be or were in contention for coaching pro bowl.

Would be nice to do that when we have like $50 million in cap space to lure some guys in.

We might buyers in ‘23 or ‘24 if we don’t keep Aaron or Davante, so can still make a good impression.

Sounds like Packers are keeping Stenavich.

Not been stated he is OC. Possibly just got a raise or Assistant HC title.

If HC, likely we’ll lose Getsy to Chicago, maybe even Denver now.

and competed annually for the worst defense in the league, constant influx of ineptitude, the D&D process doesn't work as well on defense where all 11 have to act as one

was thinking same thing, Lafluer is a players coach so he could attract players looking for a new team

The news is:
Watching Mike Holmgren's first 3 seasons when the Packers went 9 and 7 each season was way more fun to watch as a Packers fan than it was watching Matt LaFleur's first 3 season's when the Packers went 13-3 each season. Drama factor was likely the primary differentiator.

The 2019 / 2020 / 2021 Packers afterglow is over.

Seems the 1998 loss to the Niners was an afterglow extinguisher as well. Dang Niners ........... :thwap:

Oh ... Rice fumbled. Bring on Ray Rhodes then so we can go 8 and 8. Why not ......... he went 3 and 13 the previous season with the Eagles :dunno:

I disagree Ringo.

I can't speak for the early Holmgren years, but the early MLF era is the most fun I have had since the early McCarthy era.

Let's see what the Old Guys (and Ladies) Don't Rule think about this. The excitement that Reggie brought was tremendous back then. Then Favre blew the doors off. It was basically Camelot V2. The defensive line kept getting better too.

last three years have been awesome. Its great to get to experience victory monday almost every week during the fall. That said, this was the first year where I felt like we had a real chance. Even last year I felt like the Defense was going to keep us from winning. This year I felt like the STs would, but I was willing to believe based on the defense and what the O had been doing. I guess what Im saying is that each year has been a blast, but its been kind of obvious the team had fatal flaws that would rear their ugly heads come playoff time when we played great teams. Doesnt mean it wasnt fun tho throughout the fall

Love hearing your perspective on the good ole days Ringo. Hopefully one day I can shake your hand and hear a story in real life!

I've got some stories that can't be printed. :hide:
Bring it to Lambeau Drj.....I've got Green package tickets. Just let me know what game and I'll try to make it happen. The only requirement is we must visit with Bogey before kickoff.

I do have to agree with Ringo on this. After 2 plus decades of ineptitude, it was exciting to watch the Packers build a team that could actually compete for a title. Maybe that was due to lower expectations or because I was sick of so many losing teams for so long.
