.
"The Vikings now have released their 2020 1st-round pick, CB Jeff Gladney, after he was indicted today by a grand jury in Dallas on a charge of allegedly assaulting a woman in Dallas in April."

Meanwhile Zimmer is livid with his idiot QB for his complete lack of leadership...and the $45M they guaranteed him for 2022.
Sounds like its gonna be the 60th consecutive year of disappointment in minny

The Vikings reportedly lowest team in league from a vaccination standpoint at 64.5% of roster.

No report on Packers status other than Lafleur stating after day 2 practice there were 11 players remaining not vaccinated.
On the vaccination status of the roster: “Right now we’ve got 11 guys that aren’t [vaccinated.]
I honestly didn’t know it was a thing with the Minnesota roster...?

from Chicago Tribune:

"Bears second-round OT Teven Jenkins has yet to practice in training camp because of lingering back tightness.

The rookie was expected to slide right in at left tackle. Reps are paramount for Jenkins, who needs to establish chemistry with the rest of the offense before getting thrown into the fire. With or Without Jenkins, the bears still suck"

So the Eagles are supposedly working on a trade for Deshaun Watson. Is it possible that their ineptness with QB's has passed the Bears? I have no idea what they are thinking.

I mean they have to do something. Roseman has completely screwed that team up. Jalen Hurts was an omega throw pick and then they doubled down to make him the guy.

now posters pay attention to QB pressures as much as they do sacks, imo that makes more sense to me, I think most fans only see the success of a sack, and fail to notice the pressures, and while a sack is finite, the accumulations of constant pressures forces more turn overs and QB mistakes.

no surprise I guess to see Pitts. as the most successful pass rush in over a decade, 3 on the DL had plus 60 pressures, and they lost another stud midway of the season, hopefully we can get more pressure from our interior DL.

. PITTSBURGH STEELERS
The Steelers are coming off one of the best pass-rushing seasons we’ve seen since 2006, generating pressure on a whopping 45.1% of their pass-rushing snaps over the regular season.

It was a well-rounded effort, with Defensive Player of the Year hopeful T.J. Watt leading the way with 73 total pressures (third in the NFL) and both Stephon Tuitt (71 pressures) and Cameron Heyward (62 pressures) not far behind that mark. Having three of the top 10 pressure producers on the same defense is a remarkable feat, particularly considering Pittsburgh lost starting edge defender Bud Dupree midway through the seas

I know, I was just teasing you about Geno Atkins age/injury/quality of play in more recent years.

Love this; it's just really difficult to have consistent access to those numbers. If they were listed on the regular stat sites instead of usually behind paywalls and released ion tidbits and occasional lists, we'd all pay attention to pressures. But because those numbers are safeguarded in a way that official NFL stats never have been, we focus on the numbers that are made widely available

Pressure statistics have a level of subjectivity to it.

QB hits/knockdowns and sacks are objective stats and easy calculate and track.

QB pressures though...definitely more wiggle room. It's why it's likely not as available. It takes resources to count and disagreement on the count.

So I agree. Though it's nice to stand on the high ground and say, "I don't care about sacks I care about pressures. I am a more sophisticated fan..."

It's understanding the challenge of the pressure stat to begin with.

So play Hurts. They've barely given him a chance and there is no better solution at this point. Watson may, and I would say probably, won't play this year. And who knows for how long going forward. He's not a good answer for anyone right now.

Not that I care. Philly can continue to screw themselves over and over. I have 0 love for any Philly teams.
