Thanks for the kind words, billbird2111! And for the Perspective.
"This was our year" lol. Yeah, this was our year like 2009 and 1995 were our years.
I want to be empathetic to my fellow fans who are reeling because, I get it, this was a heartbreaking playoff loss that dredges up lots of painful memories and emotions.
The 2009 and 1995 losses were heartbreaking too, though. A tough playoff loss from a young, overachieving rebuild team is vastly different than a tough loss from those Favre/Rodgers teams that were trying to make a championship run.

24 hours ago this team was loaded with chemistry. We all reacted how they loved each other in the locker room. But now you are trying to lay claim Savage and Nixon dropped balls because of lack of chemistry? good grief.
The only young guy who made any real mistake was Carlson. The only vet who did anything substantial was Aaron Jones.
Everyone else younger than Savage and Nixon did just fine - actually contributed to our success. Your theory you're trying to push has as much merit as me kicking myself for wearing a green shirt rather than a yellow shirt under my Packer 1/4 Zip.
Every player in the league is expected to catch those gimme's. Not catching them is on them and them alone.
again you resort to contorting comments because thats the only come back you got, 24 hours ago both teams started the game tight, just as many games like this, what settles them down is each other and the coaches, Rasul Douglas was a big help with that in the past, hell every player voiced as much when he left, and locker room chemistry, love for one another is a different thing and you know it, well, actually it seems you don't, and I think it's because winning this argument is more important then just admitting that players are in each others ear the whole game, &%$@ happens for reasons.
So you want me to say the Packers lost yesterday because BG traded Sul to Buffalo which impacted the chemistry that messed with Savage and Nixon's brain while going for an interception so you can win an argument?
no, and you know thats not what I want you to say, simply that players help each other stay loose, and Rasul, and his attitude may have helped with that last night, I'd call Rasul a banjo string cutter, not a tightner, we needed more cutters, we had to many tightners, is that more clear, come on deep diver

Should be a good game. I hope it is. I also hope it's not the last 49er game of the season.
I expect to never see you again after we cream you like a pornhub category.
Well, I came back. To congratulate you on a great freakin' game. By the way, stay off pornhub.

actually I think this loss is very similar with the 2009 loss, we had just rebuilt the defense, this year we have a totally rebuilt receivers group, both WR and TE, and basically a rookie QB, also minus Jar and Nix a rookie secondary, I can't remember so well 2005 issues, but 09, ya the loss to the Cards while more explosive offensively, team circumstances seem similar. jmo

I hope you enjoyed the game last night, especially because the ending was in the Niner favor. I think it is going to be considered a classic game in years to come. We watched an epic battle.
I am wondering about your take about the Niners after last night. Are they better, worse, or about the same based upon how you saw them play the Packers? Will last night's game affect their performance and confidence going forward?
I think the Niners did not underestimate the Packers; at least not Shanahan. Losing Deebo was a big deal. But they had a guy step up and he probably made the biggest catch of the night on that last drive.
I am willing to say that the Niners are still the #1 team in the NFC. But the Lions can definitely challenge them. They have some great skill guys and their QB is good enough.
I hope McCaffery still carries the biggest part of the load. He is a special player. Aiyuk and Deebo are great too. But CM is one of those rare guys. And Fred is a special LB too. Gosh, I wish we had a guy like him. He impacted several of Love's throws into a higher trajectory. Can't say enough about him.
That said, I will go on a limb here. I think that the trajectory for the Packers in 2024 is higher than that of the Niners. I'm thinking the Niners lose some guys to FA. And the Pack is in position to add experience and more draft picks to a stellar youth movement. Love looks like the real deal. I hope we play the Niners in the playoffs next year too, because I think we will fare better.
Good luck next week against the Lions or Bucs. And of course the Super Bowl.

This year seems a lot like 1993 or 1994 to me.

I remember 93/94. Those Packer teams were not up to what the Cowboys were. Last night, I would contend that the Packers were every bit as good as the Niners, if only for one evening.

100%. It wasn't until 1995 that we gave them a battle.
