Yeah, why has it changed? It is the same standard as using capitalization, apostrophes, and periods.

Another issue is my students constantly put the dollar sign after the number. I understand the reasoning is this is how we pronounce it, but 4$ just is not right.

My brothers and I got one of these for Christmas one year. They didn’t last the night but, by god, it was the most glorious few hours of chaotic Christmas toy devastation I can remember…and yes, this was the actual commercial.
