Rank the Roster 2022: #1
Welcome to Rank the Roster 2022. A space filling waste of time to argue about minutiae (and get to know the roster), at the conclusion of which, training camp begins.
As always, the starting list comes from last year's poll results. Adams (#2), Z. Smith (#6), Turner (#13), MVS (#15), and King (#18) are the 5 in last year's top 20 that are not Packers anymore. With the switch to 20 on the poll (from 10), I'm not sure it makes sense to fill up poll #1, instead I'll backfill with suggestions tomorrow instead of following last year's list for the players that have moved on to elsewhere.
Don't forget, you may make 2 selections now.
I think there's a lot to talk about this year, moreso than the recent past. And less uncertainty.
Rank The Roster: 2022 Edition
1. Current (xx%)[--]
Percent of vote the winner got will be in parenthesis, position change vs. 2019 will be in brackets.
Here's how this works:
Each day there is a new thread/poll, starting at #1, on down to whereever we get. The whole point of this exercise is to have something to talk about in the lean news months to carry us to camp. Each poll will be open for voting for 24 hours. New threads will only be created on weekdays. Ties will cause a runoff poll. You may vote up to TWO players (a change that was made mid-poll last year, seemed to work well).
Simply voting is not enough!
Post why you voted for who you did and provide a player to add to the next poll (every poll will be a list of 15-20 guys, new players added in bunches every few days).
Here's the thing. There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.

#2 is going to get very interesting.
#darkhorseRashanGary.

Aaron is still our best of the best hands down.
I hope Jones stays healthy cause I expect he'll get a ton of use this year.

Reigning MVP is obvious #1. With Adams gone I'm not sure he has any competition for the spot at the moment. I picked Jones as my #2, there is now no question as to who the Packers most lethal weapon is.
I'm guessing we will be welcoming Gary to the blue chip tier, Campbell and Stokes to the red tier.
Campbell, Lazard, Walker, Lowry, Newman are my picks to add to the poll.

Crazy that 3 of the top 6 on the list were hurt for a good portion of last seaso.
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
Yeah, Rodgers is still #1. Thought about Kenny and even Bak for a hot second, but the second best player on the Packers is Jaire Alexander. Seems many have already forgotten that. Expect big things from him this year.

Can't argue Jaire, Kenny, or Bak along with Elgton for that #2 spot. Can't say we don't have several damn good players at the top.

Be interesting to see how big we are on Eric Stokes this year. Kind of thinking he possibly belongs somewhere above already, not really sure where.

HOFer all the way.
12 votes for Rodgers, 7 for everyone else on the list, seems like 5 people only voted once.

Best or most valuable? There is a difference.
Jaire is a lot better CB than Rodgers is a QB.
Kenny is a lot better Dlineman than Rodgers is a QB.
I went with Jaire.

You don't even have Jones on the blue tier? Whaaaat!!!?!!
My bold prediction:
Aaron Jones leads the 2022 Packers in receptions

Not anymore, I'm not even sure he is the best running back on the team anymore.
Also, Jones was 2nd on the team in receptions last year. I don't think that is that bold of a call.
