Rank the Roster 2022: #6

Rank The Roster: 2022 Edition

1. Aaron Rodgers (62%)[--]
2. Kenny Clark (43%)[+3]
3. Jaire Alexander (44%)[--]
4. David Bakhtiari (40%)[--]
5. Elgton Jenkins (29%)[+3]
6. Current (xx%)[--]

Percent of vote the winner got will be in parenthesis, position change vs. 2019 will be in brackets.

Here's how this works:

Each day there is a new thread/poll, starting at #1, on down to whereever we get. The whole point of this exercise is to have something to talk about in the lean news months to carry us to camp. Each poll will be open for voting for 24 hours. New threads will only be created on weekdays. Ties will cause a runoff poll. You may vote up to TWO players (a change that was made mid-poll last year, seemed to work well).

Simply voting is not enough!

Post why you voted for who you did and provide a player to add to the next poll (every poll will be a list of 15-20 guys, new players added in bunches every few days).

Here's the thing. There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.

Jones and Gary are the 2 remaining on this tier for me, then Campbell kicks off the next. I want to see it again out of Campbell before I'm ready to move him into the next tier.

I'm going to add another batch of 5 to the next poll. Wyatt, Watson, Runyan, Newman, Cobb would be my picks. Anyone else that should go up soon?

And did I mention this was Gary's stat line last year in the playoffs.

3 QB Hits
3 Tackles for Loss
2 Sacks
4 Tackles

And did I mention he had the biggest play for the Packers that night?

Looking like as of now, all 9 people who voted, voted Gary, and 2 people voted for only Gary.

Gary then Campbell for me.

Nothing against Jones, I just think his role going forward will not be so pronounced as to warrant a top 7 slot. Positionally, I have no doubt Jones/Dillon are gonna make our running game rock. Individually, though, I think their production will be capped assuming good health for each. Plus, they each provide replaceable production for one another so it's tough to gauge individual value for each of them. I am leaning, as of now, to vote them in back-to-back from a RB position production/value standpoint once these next few picks come off the board.

I voted Jones only, I'd vote Jones again but thats not allowed, Jones at less then 100% last year was our 2nd most productive receiver, and may end up as our #1 this year, people seem to gloss right over that, Gary is good, had a good game against the Niners, but so did Jones, I expect both players to do well again this year, But I expect Jones to be the offensive bell cow

We didn't pay Jones like a star to not use him as such, lis, he was dinged up most of the season , even lost a couple games because of it and still had 1200 yrds, ( thats DEvonte Adams type production) :thwap: imo Lafluer will use Jones more this year then even last as a receiver, a healthier Jones could easily produce 1500 yrds and higher TD totals.

I know some folks hated that we signed him for 12 mil. annual, I feel that is reflected with some of the opinions of Jones in this exercise, typical comments where never give a RB a 2nd contract, blah, blah Ballony, ya pay for production, and Jones has been one of our best offensive plays for the last 3 years, and will be again this year, Gary has one year of excellent production, thats it, he could go the way of Z's 2nd season when he had a huge decline from his first, I feel more secure in Jones then I do Gary.

This definitely plays into my season’s expectations.

I really don’t have a ton of confidence in Jones playing many games at 100% this year.

Well now we have 2 Olinemen off the board, both of which may be a shell of their pre-ACL selves.

Gary and Stokes for me. I will take a healthy ascending player any day over an injury question mark.

Gary's a draft bust. But still the 6th best player on the team. :rotf:

even now I would consider Jones a low mileage RB, both Williams and Dillon have helped with that, and he's mostly been healthy.

If one of our receivers caught 50 passes for barely 400 yrds we'd trade him to the vikings  thats why I think Lafluer should/will create more oppertunities for Jones to get more yac, I think it's a given, we just kicked his contract down the road, freeing up 3 mil. in cap for 2022.

we have Dillon to pound the pig, so why not involve Jones more in the receiver department, seems logical to me.

Bakhtiari is contending with a weird year with his knee and is aging, so I do get that.

There is really no valid reason to think Elgton would stray from the norm on his recovery. A recovery that has evolved into little to no long term complications.

by my calculations he's the 4th best, both Gary and obviously Jones have really been snubbed in this exercise

Can't believe an injured Bak is 4. Jones, again. Offense isn't the same without him.

I trust Jenkins way more to rehab an injury than Bak. Bak has gotten a 3rd contract and more power to him. Silly decision by Gute. Same goes for the Jones contract but at least it ends this year.
