Rank The Roster: 2022 Edition
1. Aaron Rodgers (62%)[--]
2. Kenny Clark (43%)[+3]
3. Jaire Alexander (44%)[--]
4. David Bakhtiari (40%)[--]
5. Elgton Jenkins (29%)[+3]
6. Rashan Gary (51%)[+4]
7. Current (xx%)[--]
Percent of vote the winner got will be in parenthesis, position change vs. 2019 will be in brackets.
Here's how this works:
Each day there is a new thread/poll, starting at #1, on down to whereever we get. The whole point of this exercise is to have something to talk about in the lean news months to carry us to camp. Each poll will be open for voting for 24 hours. New threads will only be created on weekdays. Ties will cause a runoff poll. You may vote up to TWO players (a change that was made mid-poll last year, seemed to work well).
Simply voting is not enough!
Post why you voted for who you did and provide a player to add to the next poll (every poll will be a list of 15-20 guys, new players added in bunches every few days).
Here's the thing. There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.

Campbell and Stokes.
Next up Myers
Next up Myers
Going with De'Vondre Campbell and Aaron Jones. I wrestled with the idea of A.J. Dillon before Jones, but I think Jones is still the 1A guy this year. We all know what Campbell brought last year. I do think, perhaps, he has received a little bit too much praise for the defensive turnaround. To me, you had marginal improvements from the entire unit that was the #1 factor to fielding a competent defense. Campbell was a big part of that and an All-Pro season is no fluke, but I think the other guys deserve a ton of credit, too.

Gary...again... Oh wait
Went with Jones and Campbell but really wanted to go Amos and a few others also. This is a start to a new tier for me. The 6 in front are the pillars of this team. This next group is the glue that can swing games on their performance

Campbell, Jones.

Voted for first team all-pro.
Haven't made 2nd vote yet, between Jones, Dillon, Preston, Amos, and Stokes right now.
Waiting to see an argument to sway me, haven't really seen one.
Just keep seeing 'our oft-injured aging RB will definitely be better next year, because he was injured for part of last year' from the Jones camp.

I went Jones because right now he is our only real threat who can take it to the house on any given play. Adams left a huge void so we will need someone who can take over that playmaking ability.BF004 wrote: ↑16 May 2022 08:27Voted for first team all-pro.

Not that others on the roster can't, but Jones is the most proven explosive playmaker on the offense currently.

Jones.
I really considered going A.J. Dillon over Jones, but the thing I kept coming back to was Jones' nose for the goal line and he is the better of the two in the passing game. Both in the receiving game and in pass protection. The injury history I just kind of have to overlook and cross my fingers. He has been healthy for the majority of his career despite missing some time here and there. No major injury, though.

Have at it. I'm sure you will find a way to screw that up, too... much like your efforts at reading comprehension. Will you please read what I wrote one more time and tell me where, exactly, you got "Jones doubter" from that, from me?Yoop wrote: ↑17 May 2022 13:43oft injured RB, Jones misses a couple games, plays banged up and still has 1200 yrds and 10 tds, sounds like some purposely wont give Jones his due.NCF wrote: ↑16 May 2022 10:13I really considered going A.J. I will enjoy laughing at doubters like you and your brother this season when he tops 1500 yrds, Jones gives us Devonte Adams production and gets no acclaim for it.

I am definitely not a Jones doubter, fricken love the big sombrero. I just can't get behind overlooking, like I said earlier, an edge defender who we are hoping will be mentioned in the DPOY running this year and our first team all pro LB.NCF wrote: ↑17 May 2022 13:51Have at it. Just really stiff company at the top, and frankly, not a whole lot is going to be separating 2 from 8 this year.
Also don't get why the first reaction when one disagrees with another, is to be hostile.
then whats with the often injured RB nonsense, Jones has barely missed any time compared to a lot of RB's and other players, and as Waldo and I pointed out, by RB standards Jones has very low touches, and he has been our #2 offensive guy for 3 years ( not counting Rodgers) why anyone would back burner him to the likes of Bahk who hasn't done squat in 2 season, or Jenkins is mind boggling.BF004 wrote: ↑17 May 2022 14:16I am definitely not a Jones doubter, fricken love the big sombrero. I don't care about Pro bowl votes, production is what matters to me, and Jones has delivered that, healthy and Jones is a 1500 yrd player, he should have been voted in a week ago.

The voice or reality. I haven't seen 1 not 1 person bad mouth Jones. He's one of my fav Packers but damn he's in tough company at a tough position to rank this high. Derick Henry is the titans I still rank others in front of him bc the baseball stat WAR. That's just me.BF004 wrote: ↑17 May 2022 14:16I am definitely not a Jones doubter, fricken love the big sombrero. I love Jones production. I love Jones is a packer and is a awesome dude. He plays banged up like many. He has big games and blah games. It happens. I also build a team from QB edge OT and a few others before a RB. Those other positions matter. Don't like it look at the teams that have won the big game. It's not bc of an elite RB
