I'm guessing the teams know that the cap is going up drastically with new streaming money and gambling money coming in the next few years.

I dont think this deal indicates a cap bump (even though there probably will be one)

I think this is the cost of doing business for a top corner that the Packers had to pay.

That's a big boy contract. He deserves it.

Still kind of can't believe the WR vs the CB market right now.


Give me the all-pro CB at 21 million and a first and a 2nd rounder and DeVondre Campbell over the WR at 30 million every day.

I saw someone say it looks like we'll save around $6M with this new deal. Gives us flexibility going into the season. Doubt this means the money is going right to some other free agent.

The other vet WR speculation needs to stop. Doesn't make much sense at this point. Maybe in season.

This signing announcement makes me very happy!

I feel like the numbers ($20-21 mil/year) were pretty well established by the other top contracts. Guarantees, structure, and length were the only real variables. Jaire gets a win with a contract that doesn't run past the prorated signing bonus (where you can more easily backload a deal) and hitting free agency again in his prime. Would have loved to get another year or two on this deal, but still stoked to have him locked up and have a little more wiggle room.

Alexander Cap hit before extension: $13.29 million
Alexander Cap hit after extension: $7.076 million

nothing to be but happy about this, just gotta hope he can stay on the field throughout the deal

Man, if only we had the very best player at their position in all of our positions! And there was no such thing as the Salary Cap!

Kind of doesn't seem like the offseason to complain out G and DT when we added an FA, a 1st round pick, 3rd round pick, and 4th round pick to these two groups.

AR can play DT, but poorly. JA can play OG, but poorly. It's not a rule you have to have 11 guys on the field. You can field less than 11. And not all have to be male.
