Percent of vote the winner got will be in parenthesis, position change vs. 2021 will be in brackets.

Here's how this works:

Each day there is a new thread/poll, starting at #1, on down to whereever we get. The whole point of this exercise is to have something to talk about in the lean news months to carry us to camp. Each poll will be open for voting for 24 hours. New threads will only be created on weekdays. Ties will cause a runoff poll. You may vote up to TWO players (a change that was made mid-poll last year, seemed to work well).

Simply voting is not enough!

Post why you voted for who you did and provide a player to add to the next poll (every poll will be a list of 15-20 guys, new players added in bunches every few days).

Here's the thing. There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.

I can get on board the Yosh train here. Last thread it was pointed out that he's a likely week 1 starter. Who knows, maybe he makes a big jump and sends Jenkins back to LG full time, not outside of the realm of possibility. Definitely a clear path to the field full time in he takes it.

#2 is going to be Love again. He's better than many of the wretched backups we've had over the years.

At 20 guys right now, but I'll add Keisan Nixon next.

I am also voting for Yosh and Jordan Love.

Yosh is the probable starter at OT on week 1 and all of September. The only question is LT or RT. And as stated, he might stay at RT and Jenkins returns to guard.

There is 1 other possibility at RT that no one has discussed. Brian Bulaga is, I believe, an unsigned free agent and if Bakh is done Yosh starts at LT and Jenkins probably starts on PUP

With the exception of Yosh, every player left in this list is a backup and only TJ might get any snaps outside garbage time baring an injury. Personally I think Reed should have been the 5th Dlineman rather than TJ but the consensus was not based on last year's performance.

The backup QB is more valuable than any other backup, not only in case of injury to a starter but also because he runs the scout team for the D to practice against and because the non starting WR's need someone to throw to them.

Slaton. Second choice was Lewis but the case for Yosh has persuaded me to go with him here.

I'll be voting Rhyan soon. I still think Newman is the favorite at RG, but he has a legit shot at becoming a starter at some point in the season, or at the very least being quality depth that may get a few snaps here and there (hopefully won't need it).
