I thought Ahmed looked good enough to be a potential transition from Crosby. Strong leg. It was weird seeing kickoffs 6 yds deep into the EZ during PS.
I guess the org agrees with me on Winfree. Heflin deserved a spot on the 53 imo.
I Do Not Hate Matt Lafleur
I like Heflin. Chris Slayton too. But we don't need a 6th DL on the roster. Heflin got less than 20 snaps on defense and ST combined last year as #6. And he wasn't good enough to beat any of the 5 ahead of him. I hope they can get 1 or both on the PS though.

I think it just came down to experience. Coming into the season with little practice or reps I expect Crosby to be bad early.
Cancelled by the forum elites.

haha, maybe, it does seem like Rodgers has a lot more input these daysDrj820 wrote: ↑30 Aug 2022 15:57I think it came down do being best buds with 12lupedafiasco wrote: ↑30 Aug 2022 15:45I think it just came down to experience. I look at place kicking the same way as Golf, unless you really get technically out of wack it's like riding a bike, I wouldn't hit a golf ball all winter and the first game in the spring I'd hit my average, so unless the holder and snapper screw up I expect Mason will be fine
Im ñot worried about mason being awful. I just think we could find someone as good as him for cheaper. That person may could kick it out of the back of the end zone on kick offs tooYoop wrote: ↑30 Aug 2022 16:09haha, maybe, it does seem like Rodgers has a lot more input these daysDrj820 wrote: ↑30 Aug 2022 15:57I think it came down do being best buds with 12lupedafiasco wrote: ↑30 Aug 2022 15:45

of course, of course, of course we'll have it coming
thing is even last year when they wanted Crosby to boot it into the EZ, he did it, so to me that says he can still do it, what is shocking to me it that as bad as our coverage was they still wanted him to kick it inside the 5 hoping to pin them deep, I might be wrong, but I think the plan is to blame more then the kicker.
teams that kick it out the back of the EZ are saying we can't stop you from getting to the 25 yrd line, so we wont even try, we give upDrj820 wrote: ↑30 Aug 2022 16:13Im ñot worried about mason being awful. now we probably should have been doing that as atrocious as our coverage has been at times, but it's a attitude of a defeatist, the goal kicking it just a little short is to pin there offense deep and hope for a turn over and TD, that assuredly wont happen just giving them the ball on the 25.
Defeatist attitude? It’s called being smart and reducing risk...when your coverage team is total a**Yoop wrote: ↑30 Aug 2022 16:24teams that kick it out the back of the EZ are saying we can't stop you from getting to the 25 yrd line, so we wont even try, we give upDrj820 wrote: ↑30 Aug 2022 16:13Im ñot worried about mason being awful. what about our ST's was smart? go look at good ST's units, they don't kick it into the EZ.Drj820 wrote: ↑30 Aug 2022 16:52Defeatist attitude? True. Of which we were not a good STs unit, which is why I just want to boot it in the end zone, not take an injury risk, eliminate the Risk of a big return, and play d from the 25.Yoop wrote: ↑30 Aug 2022 16:56what about our ST's was smart? go look at good ST's units, they don't kick it into the EZ.Drj820 wrote: ↑30 Aug 2022 16:52Defeatist attitude? I think it is waaaay too early to know what kind of ST unit we will have. There is no way Bisaccia was going to wave his magic wand and this unit is fixed. Now that he has his players he can get to work. In my mind ST can only get better (they couldn't be any worse than last season's).

I think a lot of the cuts/keeps at the bottom of the roster that are being wondered about were specifically meant for special teams. That should be a good sign at least. Whether that pans out or not remains to be seen.

A LOT more in depth analysis on Toure spattered across Twitter. I will try to post them if I get a chance.
