Don Majkowski
Sterling Sharpe

Ok, ok. They’re both members of the Packers HOF but they’re not on Ringo’s list. They both played the majority of their Packer careers during the defined “lean” years.

One player who is not in the PHOF and should be: Brian Noble

Randy Wright? Um, I mean Scott Hunter. Nope. Oh never mind!

But what about Ted Hendricks? I loved Brockington, but his productive career was actually pretty short. If you have him on the list, then add Mac Lane too.

Brian Noble was a good one. Chuck Cecil, Perry Kemp, & James Campen. Other guys had brief flashes like Jackie Harris, Vince Workman, Tony Bennett, Bryce Paup... maybe not HOF worthy, but definitely worthy of a shout out in this thread. Even some guys from the early Holmgren years don't get the credit they deserve. Thinking about guys like Jurko, Santana Dotson, Craig Newsome, Doug Evans, Craig Hentrich, even Desmond Howard.

Did some snooping, I was a too young to experience most of that time first hand, love learning more about some of those years.

Didn’t realize Majik was #2 in MVP voting to Montana.

And Tim Harris was 2nd in DPOY voting. Keith Millar won, didn’t ever realize he was that good. Crazy cause fellow Viking Chris Doleman was 3rd in voting. Damn near 40 sacks between those two.

Ted Hendricks only played one season as a Packer.

Tim Lewis might deserve being part of this conversation as well.

Just from some of my stat picking, Perry Kemp and Jackie Harris were flashes in the pan. 6 TDs for Kemp as a Packer, 9 for Harris. However, 25 for the toolbox Ed West.

Paul Ott Carruth baby!

Also, Brent Fullwood sucks. In the same week, he refused to sign an autograph and fumbled at the 1 yard line at the first ever Packers game I attended in person.

Charles Martin was an embarrassment to the organization. Zero chance he gets any recognition.

Tim Lewis was on his way to stardom when he injured and forced to retire.

To bad for Ezra Johnson. Had he been on a contender, I think he would have been an all-time great and in the HOF. He was a beast but without much support around him, they could just run away from him or double team him. Sometimes they did both.

No to Charles Martin. There are more than enough more worthy candidates.

When I think of Charles Martin, I also think of guys like Blaise Winter, Donnie Humphrey, Alphonso Carreker, Jerry Boyarsky, and a few others didn't exactly stand out as Packers defensive linemen. There were exceptions here and there like Dave Roller and Mike Butler. But in general it was the great Ezra Johnson and that's it .......... over a 20+ year period. Lionel Aldridge and Bob Brown ended their careers as Chargers.

Alden Roche, Casey Merrill, Robert Brown, Charles Johnson, Mike McCoy .........
