Week 5 Games
Mod edit: the first four posts were posted in another thread but moved to this thread after it had been created
Watching Broncos and Colts tonight.
Matt Ryan can sure throw a ball well. But he still does some very stupid stuff. He created a 3rd and 38 situation almost all by himself. Eish.
Both of these offenses are offensive.

I’m so mad that one of these teams will be awarded a win tonight.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑06 Oct 2022 20:44Watching Broncos and Colts tonight.

Legendary Al Michaels is hilarious. Doesn’t give one F anymore. Usually announcers will pretend a game is good just to keep the audience. Mr money bags has openly called this game horrible about 4 times. Hilarious.

What a fitting ending for a pitiful game.

Nathaniel Hackett is not ready to be a head coach.

I don’t understand how he got that job in the first place.
Cancelled by the forum elites.
Lol to attract Aaron Rodgers, mostly.

Hackett has made some rookie HC mistakes, plenty to be sure...but none of those mistakes matter if Russ Wilson isnt playing like hot garbage. Broncos paid Wilson 250m when he still had two years left on his old deal. Thats the top problem.

Spot on, imo Wilson was always over rated, the coach everyone seems to hate was the main reason for the Seahawks success.
As to Hackett not being ready to be a HC, I havn't paid enough attention to Denver to make that comment except to say HC's get the majority of blame, but his assistants should share some of the blame along with Wilson.
Rodgers wasn't playing that well in MLF's first year either. Better than Wilson is now, but pretty mediocre, but then things clicked and the O ran like a well-oiled machine.
It may take them more than a season to get it figured out. There would need to be significant improvement toward the end of this year or very quickly next year though, or he will be on the hotseat.
For the record, I'm not a big believer in Hackett as HC. His stint as Jacksonville OC was unspectacular. He may not have deserved to be fired (there were bigger problems with the team that year) but he didn't do anything to impress, either. As OC for us, it's hard to tell how much of the success was due to him or how much he's riding the coattails of MLF and/or HOF QB play. If I were hiring a HC, that ambiguity would make it very difficult for me to pull the trigger on Hackett.
All that said, I think it's too early to say if he's cut out for it or not.

It’s really easy now to say “Wilson…” or “the Broncos…” in just slamming them. But who is there that actually looks at what they are doing or how they are doing it? Hardly anybody.
I didn’t watch the previous games. But in this one, I’d say that the WRs had a hard time getting open hardly ever. (Remind you of any other teams?) The running game had a little momentum. But the Colt D was in Wilson’s face almost every play. And by the time they got into the 4th quarter, I’m thinking that Wilson was flustered and frustrated. That made the pick an easy thing because he just started forcing balls into tight spaces.
Wilson is a good QB. But his hands are sort of tied right now. Like some have said, it isn’t an overnight thing for them to get synced on the playbook. They will get better. Meanwhile, the boo birds are working overtime each time their offense leaves the field.
Ya know, the Broncs missed a “no miss” field goal too that would’ve made the difference in keeping them out of overtime. But who is criticizing the ST there for that?

The Dallas - Rams game seems intriguing to me. The Rams are figured out it seems. This week I took the Cowboys as the upset.
Think about this. By week 8 Denver will have played in 2 Sunday night games. A Thursday night game, 2 Monday night games, and a game in London on a Sunday Morning. That is 6 Nationally televised games in the first 8 weeks of football.
Another completely ridiculous roughing the QB call in the MNF game against KC after a Carr sack. This call negated a sack/fumble/turnover that LV eventually turned into 3 pts.
This follows the BS call against Atlanta after sacking Brady yesterday that diffused their comeback attempt.
The NFL rules committee is ruining the game.

LV had plenty of chances. A stupid ST penalty gave KC 6 points (failed 2 pt). Adams threw his helmet.
Adams may be looking at a suspension for assaulting a cameraman doing his job.
Also, did adams learn that route in GB? 4th and 1 and him and Renfrow are running 30 yards down the field…geez.
