Black Friday/holiday shopping

I hate it. Spend way too much $$$.

Just today replaced my 12 year old "winter shoes." $48. Wife needed new winter coat. $140. Three new pairs running shoes (two for me, one for her). Half off but still $210. New winter coat and bibs for little one. $28. Air purifier to help with dust, pet dander, allergies. $150.

On Friday there are several car related items at Fleet Farm I plan to get (oil, washer fluid, gas can, and kids boots).
This isn't even any gifts! Those are mostly purchased - got people I buy for Jeff Dunham tix.

What are you spending (wasting?) money on this time of year?

Ugh, yeah that stinks. Everything is bonkers expensive now too.

Not sure what the wife has planned, but I know she normally spends a load on Black Friday. We usually spend about 2K on Christmas presents, and I don't even know on all the extra garbage. Plus I have to pay for spring break in Mexico soon, fun times.

We have opted to go the Secret Santa route with our adult kids and their spouses. One draw from the hat, one gift to purchase for the season.

Should be fun to see what some come up with and it should be A LOT less expensive!

Buying for just the kids on both sides of the family this year. Also not exchanging with the wife. Not participating in the drain this year.

Yes, but it has migrated online for the most part.

Got myself a traeger, last pellet smoker hasn’t worked for like 8 months.

Got $100 off, and free assembly and free delivery. The last two were the big kickers Ace Hardware was offering.

Yep, with shelf and cover.

Festy had pork shoulder for $1.49 when I was there yesterday, grabbed a few for the freezer.

Made 1 purchase yesterday. Not from a big box retailer but from a local shop. 20% a new wetsuit- Christmas gift for my brother. Completely forgot it was Black Friday until I walked in the store. So that was nice and easy. :)
