Shane Steichen has to be the next big name. Not only did he develop Herbert to have the best rookie QB seasons ever but he coached Hurts into being a competent QB after being garbage.

I really like hearing Demeco Ryan speak on the game and watching his players go hard for him. We are an offensive coaches team. For as long as I can remember we have been offensive minded at the HC position. Maybe we change that and become more physical and passionate.

I wouldn’t mind Brian Flores. His teams seemed to play hard for him despite being dog &%$@. He turned them around quickly. He will probably be black balled by the league.

If you can get Sean Payton out of retirement that would be my go to. I doubt he leaves a sweet production gig.

There's reason to believe LaFleur might not be as bad as he looks right now. Lots of examples where the plays are there, but Rodgers is not pulling the trigger, not to mention Rodgers also wholesale basically getting rid of large swaths of the playbook because he doesn't like them (e.g. motions and such).

With that said, I think this situation is similar to Pettine after that SF playoff loss: overall track-record isn't fireable, but performance of late has been. Give him another chance, but shorten the leash. Pettine responded to a historically bad run D with... lining Preston Smith out so wide that he was basically a CB on those plays. That was the time to pull the plug (but really, probably should have done it after SF).

Again, the dysfunction right now is rampant, at a level that no competent coach should tolerate.

What did in Pettine was Lafluers insane desire to hire a Cord of his choosing, and a CB with speed, but poor footwork. ( King)

and ya line up OLB's wide so the angle to the QB is a straight line, Pettines Pass rush schemes where ten times better then anything we've seen from Barry, and if he'd of had Campbell and now WAlker and Reed we probably wouldn't have been as bad stopping the run, the Pettine firing was another example of firing a coach do to lack of talent, ( McCarthy, Capers) GM's don't resign, they just scape goat a coach.

And who told you that Rodgers shrunk the play book? or is that something you came up with on your own? seriously with time restraints a offense is limited to just how many plays can be practiced, sure Rodgers will have a opinion on what has a chance of success against whomever the team and personal we'll be up against, just like Matt does, and between the two a game plan is formed, you make it sound as though Rodgers is responsible, and Lafluer has to cower to him, and thats YOU exaggerating this situation to heap more blame on Rodgers.
