6 would be a lot, wonder how that contract is built.
"Max value" is an important distinction in that twitter post.

Yay!
I am hoping that he will actually be one of the biggest play makers in GB in 2023.

the two Nixons, one blew up Cambodia, the other blew up the NFL
great news, I bet Bisaccia was in Russ Balls office with his Samori sword demanding the return of Keisean

Amazing that Gute/Ball were able to get this done despite being held hostage
Really looking forward to the made-for-TV " Raid on Aschwabenon" where they show Gute/Ball breaking free from their captors to complete this transaction

Nixon is a spark, brought our return game to life.
On contract, since it was leaked worded like this instead of "look, this much guaranteed!", there's probably a significant chunk tied to Pro Bowl and All-Pro berth and performance thresholds.

I don't understand the value of a one year deal to be honest. We must not have a lot of faith in him?
But my guess is this is a heavily incentivized contract with bonus kickers if he gets like a return TD or something.
I don't understand the value of a one year deal to be honest.
There's a value for both parties, it was likely a compromise
If 2022 success was an anomaly, the Packers aren't tied to Nixon long term. They also brought in Bo Melton and another returner.
If Nixon's success is tied to Bisaccia schemes, then maybe somebody else can do it just as well. ( unlikely, but maybe)
If Nixon does it again in 2023, he's in line for an even bigger payday- so from the player POV - he's betting on himself and Biscaccia to have a good year. The fast-rising cap pushes players/agents toward shorter deals and then hit it again next year
“That’s just huge,” running back Aaron Jones said. “You’re not having to fight going half of the field. However many plays it takes you to cross the 50, mistakes can happen. You may not even get across the 50. For him to put us in a position – two first downs and you’re already in field goal position. That’s huge vs. going from the 25, two first downs, you’re not in field goal position yet. It’s huge what he’s been doing for us. I’m glad he’s back there returning.”

100 yards of field position = 7 points, Nixon's 6 mil. contract seems reasonable to me.

I think Nixon is banking on himself getting more snaps as DB, and re-entering the market next year as not only a STer.
