Official Prediction Thread: Trade Package/Compensation from Jets

It’s time now. This party ends tomorrow at 1pm. May be a little later than that, but soon and very soon, we will know what trade compensation we received for the 4x MVP. Or if we sent any additional players with Rodgers,

Let’s get on record:

1) what do you think the package will be

2) is there a threshold you will be happy about if it’s more and mad about if it’s less?

For instance: happy no matter what if it’s the 13 overall, mad and Gute sucks if we only get a 3.

Let’s hear it!

I have always maintained since last fall that Rodgers would be a Jet in 2023 and I have always maintained it will be a for a 2023 1st and a 2024 2nd.

No reason for me to change my position now. Though I am nervous on what the actual compensation will be.

I think that would be an acceptable haul.

I would probably even take a 2023 2nd and a 2024 1, if the Jets didn’t want to give up their #13 overall…but I really hope Gute gets that #13.

I really really want it to be a 2023 1st (13th) and a 2024 conditional pick (depending on Rodgers' achievement and roster status) that could go as high as a 1st (unlikely; like all pro and SB or playoffs?) but likely will be a 2nd-4th

But I have some weird feeling that it's going to be a 2023 2nd and a 2024 conditional pick that maxes out at a 2nd.

Unless players are involved. I doubt players will be involved. Though with Rodgers' wish list, I will maintain a glimmer of hope that Bakhtiari will be included and bump up the compensation to two 1sts in two years and a Day Two pick in one of those years.

Sort of a cop out as a prediction to give 3 options. But that's where I am.

I hope for a 1st, but also expect a 2nd this year and conditional in 2024

Gute is a horrible GM. Really bad. So nothing would surprise me. But he knows the Jets want AR. Bad. And there are few other options remaining for them in the market. I say it is a 1st snd 3rd. At least one of those 2024. Should be way more based on other trades, like Stafford. But... Gute is a horrible GM.

I agree the jets are so desperate that whether it’s 2023 or 2024 we HAVE to get a 1 from the Jets. Now…I hope it’s the 13 overall, but if it’s a 2024 1, while we get something else in 2023..I won’t be mad.

Yeah I would be okay if it's a 2023 2nd and a 2024 1st.

I mean I get it from the Jets. They should want as any resources as possible RIGHT NOW to go all in. Honestly I would try and use that to my favor.

In a perfect world, I would be totally fine asking for very minimal 2023 resources and instead ask for 2024 and 2025 1st rounders. I know it's tough to pay a 2025 first for a player who likely won't be a Jet at that time...but it also gives the Jets resources to go after it now.

I'd accept Denzel Mims a 2024 1st and 2025 1st.

I think theres a country and western tune that goes " my broken heart is all I have left now" or something like that

anyway there is no way I see the Jets forking out 59 mil. or whatever it is, then shipping high draft picks to us to boot, thats just to much to part with for most likely a 2 or max 3 year player, IMO they will part with the money, but not those first round picks, I wish you guys are right, just can't see it, thats why a couple 2nd rounder just makes more sense.

Swap of 13 and 45, conditional ‘24 pick, high as a 2nd.

Maybe a low level player or two.

Rodgers wants 3 receivers from the Jets.

We get a 2023 1st, Elijah Moore, 2024 conditional pick starting at a 3rd/2nd for playoffs/1st for SB appearance/all pro/MVP. We trade Rodgers, 2023 4th, 2024 4th, and Gutenbumst has to eat a pair of Rodgers underwear from his darkness retreat.

All that I know is it should be more than I thought it would be last week. The more this drags out (and Windows says it still could go into next week!), the more the Jets will cater to 12, the more we will haul in picks and a player or two.

Funny to see the mims fans.

I think the trade would have started like the favre trade and then somewhat greater than that.

It should be a lot but I'm not expecting it.

This forum loved mims except those that watch tape instead of combine numbers.

Hoping for 1st and 2nd. The owner did say he would pay multiple 1sts.

My hope is that the handshake agreement with the Jets was done a months ago and that is why the Raiders backed out.

My thinking, though, is we get a first and give them a 3rd. And a conditional 2nd round pick in 24. Maybe my wishful thinking as 3rd round picks are worthless.

It has nothing to do with loving Mims or being a fan. It's simply what many think will be involved in the trade package.

The Jets have an overload of young receivers right now and if you're to believe reporting they'll be adding more WR talent before their off-season is over. It only makes sense they'd try and package one of their guys who hasn't worked out for them. The Packers could certainly use the cheap help and, who knows, a change in scenery may be just what he needs. If he struggles, oh well. Good luck as a FA in 2024.

I loved Mims before the combine. He was my target for Round 2. But then the combine came and he started getting rumored to Round 1 and it was too rich for me so I started gravitating toward Kenneth Murray, Patrick Queen, Justin Jefferson and Brandon Aiyuck.

I'd be happy to take Mims from the Jets. But it better not be any substantial or material trade piece.
