Getting a legit, solid, well-rounded TE prospect makes the Musgrave pick feel much better to me.

Just like getting a bigger more physical WR will make Reed feel better to me.

It makes these prospects options/tools, rather than "the answer"

But in all seriousness I am very excited about this pick. This is a great kid. Remind me more of a Mayer type prospect with a bigger body. Always finds a way to get open though and absolutely dominated in the FCS level.

SDSU ran the ball down everyone's throats and Kraft was part of that. Tucker Kraft was a very popular 2nd TE selected in my mocks.

I will say this about Kraft.

I was shocked by his combine numbers. His RAS does not reflect his tape in my opinion.

The mystery of this draft is why teams are passing on that TE Washington.

TY for making the thread go pak go

Love this pick, love double dipping.

Should never expect much from rookie TE's, but F it. No point in wasting cap dollars on a vet. We good with these two and Daguara and Davis.

Foot and knee issues.

Saying potential foot injury concerns...I think I saw some character stuff too?

All of the above. And he has zero change of direction.

Dominating at the FCS level doesn't mean a whole lot to me. He's a gifted athlete, that's for sure.

And was recruited by Alabama and other schools, but elected to stay. FCS doesn't mean raw.

Kraft and Musgrave in 2 TE formation could create big time coverage issues for any defense, run or pass, I think these two TE's and Reed will help our new QB, add LVN in and this seems like a great draft no matter what Gute does next.

From Draft Network, FWIW...
At this point in time, Kraft is more athletic than a nuanced football player, but his skill set is easy to project at the next level. He will be a complete tight end that has the athleticism to be a high-volume pass target who can make plays on his own thanks to his run instincts and strength while also being a solid run blocker.

Top Reasons to Buy In:

Size and strength
Athleticism/receiving upside
Versatility

Top Reasons For Concern:

Hands
Rawness
Level of competition
