It was somewhat close, but Rodgers retains the top spot again for 2020!
Rank The Roster: 2020 Edition
1. Aaron Rodgers (48%)[--]
2. Current
Percent of vote the winner got will be in parenthesis, position change vs. 2019 will be in brackets.
Here's how this works:
Each day there is a new thread/poll, starting at #1, on down to whereever we get. The whole point of this exercise is to have something to talk about in the lean news months to carry us to camp. Each poll will be open for voting for 24 hours. New threads will only be created on weekdays. Ties will cause a runoff poll.
Simply voting is not enough!
Post why you voted for who you did and provide a player to add to the next poll (every poll will be a list of 10 guys, a new player is added to the list each day).
Here's the thing. There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.

Jones or Za'Darius here. Maybe Bak is worth the tail end of this tier?
I'm leaning Jones. Both took over games last year and dominated. Both could be even better this year.
Its cool that highlights are so easy to post here.
Next up? Savage or King maybe. Is Lazard the 2nd receiver off the board?

I actually thought Bak had one of his worst years in a long while. I am curious what his value will be after this year. As far as contract priorities, I think LT and RB1 are two on offense we need to try and get done.
Going Z again. He is the heartbeat of this team. Jones is #3 as he should be next. I think we saw last year the value of Jones was greater than the value of Adams. I think after that it's probably Kenny Clark to round out the top 5. Then it's probably Bak, Alexander and Smith for great arguments.

Z. Smith
A. Jones
D. Bakhtiari - Unfortunately had a pretty done year, by his standards.

Z.
Beasted all season, premium position.
I have Clark above Bak this time. The latter had a down Year by his standardi.

Then Davante, Jones, Clark, and Bak. End of tier.

Looks like the first tier goes two deep this year. I vote Z yesterday, but clearly him and Rodgers are the most impactful players on the team.

Z should have been #1 so I'm picking him here.
Number 3 is much harder. Bakh had a down year (by his lofty standards) but he's still one of the best tackles in the league. Jones had an elite year, however, he still has trouble pass-blocking. Should I even care that he can't pass block that well when he's such a weapon?

I thought he was exceptional at pass blocking this past year the times he was asked to do it. Granted we are much better off having him go run a route, as he's basically the most dangerous guy on the team with the ball in his hands and he's a natural receiver.Crazylegs Starks wrote: ↑29 Apr 2020 10:46Number 3 is much harder. Yeah, we're really well-served if at least one of the rookies, Deguara or Dillon, picks up pass protection asap. That way a 2-back set can be a running formation or let Jones move out to receiver without sacrificing pass protection. Jones had that as a weakness entering the league, but focused on it and has really improved! Jamaal Williams is the only other back that seems to have that part locked down at present.Waldo wrote: ↑29 Apr 2020 14:15I thought he was exceptional at pass blocking this past year the times he was asked to do it. But I'm sure MLF will scheme and use personnel accordingly
really, see I think it's closer this year between the top 5 then last year, Rodgers even while not his old self yet in these new schemes is still one of the top 5 or so QB, couple that with the position and he's easy #1 for me
the question then is do we value 90 QB pressures, 15 sacks over the 1500 total yrds frrom the RB, what??? 10 Tds, I always give the nod to the point production, so for me, even though it's practically a toss up, Aaron Jones gets my vote.
Z, Clark, and Adams make up the top 5 based on last year, Bahk was not his usual self, but he's siting at the 6 slot and I can't think of anyone pushing him, maybe I'am forgetting someone, but it seems like thats where the drop off is.
Z
One thing I like is that looking at years past, we seem to have a lot more legit good players at the top now. Last few years it was like Rodgers and one other guy (if that), but this year there is an actual pileup at the top as to who fills out the top tier.

I really wonder how healthy Bak was at times last year. To me AR is #1, Z is #2, Bak is #3 and Adams is #4.go pak go wrote: ↑28 Apr 2020 22:00I actually thought Bak had one of his worst years in a long while. I still think its Bakh due to his All Pro status. Davante is tied for 3rd with Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones is #2 due his almost Pro Bowl status (he had an outstanding season)
