Here's how this works:

Each day there is a new thread/poll, starting at #1, on down to whereever we get. The whole point of this exercise is to have something to talk about in the lean news months to carry us to camp. Each poll will be open for voting for 24 hours. New threads will only be created on weekdays. Ties will cause a runoff poll. You may vote up to TWO players (a change that was made mid-poll last year, seemed to work well).

Simply voting is not enough!

Post why you voted for who you did and provide a player to add to the next poll (every poll will be a list of 15-20 guys, new players added in bunches every few days).

Here's the thing. There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.

Jenkins here for sure, only going to make 1 pick.

This next tier should be interesting. I guess I'm good with Love on this tier in part because of position importance, but also because I think he'll be pretty good. That said there's a few I definitely want before him like Dillon and Watson.

Went with Jenkins again, I expect another PB type season, coupled with a healthy Bahktiari and the run and pass pro on Loves blind side should be excellent.

Throwing a bone to Watson. While Love is going to be running the show and I will vote for him next. I think DCs are going to be more concerned about the one two punch of Jones and Watson. They are the home run hitters in the line up. The fear of Watson taking the top of defenses is going to be a big factor in keeping them honest.

I also voted for Love and Watson.

I understand voting for a proven player. Unfortunately, Jenkins is coming off a major injury which resulted in him not playing well last year. So I do not consider him to be a proven All Pro player any more. Maybe he will be 100% this season, but at no point last season was he 100% or he would have been playing RT.

Jenkins. I do think our fans overrate him a bit, but this is about his range. Campbell is on deck, even with the down year.

I wonder if Sul should crack the Top-10 as well. He didn't make the splash plays, but still looked very good when moved back to the boundary.

On my radar for 9 and 10 are: Love, Watson, Dillon, Walker, Nixon, Wyatt in roughly that order.

Just voted Elgton. Not sure on the next one, but I may just have to go Nixon. He'll continue to be a force on ST and is likely to contribute in other areas this year. He's motivated and is going to be playing for much more than a 1 year deal this season. But otherwise, Dillon, I think. I'm feeling we may see the improvement this year I thought we'd get last year.

I just voted for Nixon as my 2nd choice, common sense tells me he's pro bowl bound, little early for a teams player but his production ability is undeniable.

I was thinking of him yesterday, but thought to early for him, cept as Paco just said, his roll will probably be expanded, and jet sweeps would seem a perfect gig

these kind of stats don't always paint a complete picture at all Skeptic

we tried Jenkins at RT as soon as he was able to play, he struggled with the foot work as often players do when moving one side of center to the other, the foot work is the complete opposite from left to right and vice versa, and yes Jenkins to time at LG to play back up to form, but when was the last time we had a rookie LG go to the PB? towards the end of the season Jenkins was getting back to who he had been prior to the injury and will very likely be that guy again this season.

again these grades as with all grades are subjective

That was the last game against the Lions only.

Lets not be absurd. We all know that Davis was not very good last season. Davis took only 8 snaps which I clearly stated and so this was a statistical issue, not a reflection of his ability. But the fact is that Jenkins, in the last game of the season was worse - yes, worse than Davis, Jenkins was the 3rd worst full time player on the tam in the most important game of the season. In a game that mean the difference between going home and going to the playoffs, Jenkins along with most of the team was pathetic. And yet there are people here saying that Jenkins was fully recovered from his injury and playing well at the end of the season - which clearly was not true.

Look, you can believe what you want. You can believe that Jenkins was fully recovered but played like crap because he did not give a crap about going to the playoffs or you can believe that this was the best he could do because he was still not recovered from that ACL. If he wasn't fully recovered in January, when will he be 100%? Of course the other option is that he got his payday and no longer cares about earning his salary - he would not be the first NFL player to do this.

Do you have any other explanation? If so, lets hear it!

Watson deserves the recognition here, not Jenkins. My simple point is that Watson is far more proven at the end of last season than Jenkins was. But people chose to believe the absurd opposite.

Jenkins ranked about 13th out of 80 Guards last year, played 950 snaps at all 5 positions, and held a plus 65 grade on 4 of em, I think some of us are hung up on his early 5 or six games back from the ACL when it's common to see tentativeness.

The Packers selected Jenkins with the 44th overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and he has not disappointed since.

Green Bay has deployed Jenkins across the entirety of its offensive line, watching him excel in every spot. Per PFF, Jenkins has career position grades above 65.0 at four of the five spots on the O-line. Spielberger pointed out that the only spot in which he hasn’t put up that kind of performance is at right guard, and that is only because he hasn’t played enough snaps at the position to qualify.

Jenkins earned Pro Bowl honors in 2020, starting all 16 games for the team and playing primarily at left guard. He moved to left tackle the following year where he performed exceptionally well before suffering an ACL injury that knocked him out halfway through the season.

He has returned to form this year, despite a few early injury setbacks, appearing in 11 of 13 games thus far and starting all of those. PFF currently lists Jenkins as the 13th best guard in the NFL out of 86 players qualifying at the position with an overall grade of 72.2.
