Is anyone keeping track?
Gary and Clark are injured. Anyone else?

Tyler Davis with an ACL, which may be a good thing from a football perspective. It will force the coaches to play the rookies.

Kenny Clark alarms me a bit.

Justin Harrell will always and forever make me shake in my knees when I hear back injury.

And Z'darius Smith didn't do anything to relieve that fear.

Big man back injuries absolutely alarm me, but I think there is a separation between "I injured my back and now it will forever be a tweak away from missing time and harming my body's ability to maintain strength and explosiveness" or "my back is at risk of being injured and so we are sitting out to avoid the aforementioned scenario ever coming to pass."

Unfortunately it's always tough to know exactly what you're dealing with from the outside. But given that Clark didn't play in the preseason game, it feels more likely to be a "he's missing time to due to pain/tightness/soreness to prevent injury" rather than "he's injured and now will miss an undisclosed amount of time to 'heal' and healing may never be 100% and will always be at risk of reinjury"

Fingers crossed.

It should be said that our trainers had Harrell do a 1,000 lb. weight sled with his back not fully healed yet, which pretty much ruined said back and ended his career, while Smith stupidly rushed back to play with his back not fully healed either.

I am thinking we just need to ensure that he does not play (or otherwise greatly stress it) until it's 100%.

*edit*
And like YoHo said, probably more of a tightness thing than any serious injury.

Hurts ST. He was a core ST player and was doing well as a blocking TE. At least he should be well healed for next season.

Both the candidates for the 3rd RB are now hurt but fortunately Wilson made the best of his opportunity. A power runner who did not get caught from behind. It also opens the door for Pearson who might now make the roster as a FB and 3rd down blocking back that can catch a pass our of the backfield.

Really except for Clark there are no worries.

FWIW Gutekunst was confident Campbell will be available in week 1.

Sounds like Clark was a go and made some plays.

Just stay healthy
